Certainly not for an "average" game, and I said it's not that great for a WiAB quality game. I mean, an average game rated 3 or lower usually makes me want to puke.

But it's complicated, I would say that it's not a uniform but a logarithmic distribution. That is, about 500 games with a rating higher than 4 are what I would call above average and 5000 games with a rating from 3 to 4.5 are what I would call average. Well, the rest of the 20000+, just tell me yourself what is it.

So I'm talking about the "above average" category, where WiAB isn't even in the top 300 because there's not a single game rated 4.2 or lower. It's on page 15, my settings are 30 items per page, so it's somewhere around 450th in the weighted rankings. SG is right there with WiAB, by the way. Can you really name 300+ AVN better than SG? I can't. So yeah, WiAB and SG are far from "overwhelmingly positive" to me.

I guess that I continue to follow this game because I was a fan of the first one before the remake. Not the first half of that game, mind you, but around the time of the camping trip the game improved immensely. Probably the most improvement I ever saw in a VN. It improved in art, story, and just mood in general. I've always kind of held out hope that whatever magic was captured in a bottle by the time of Katie's confession would transfer to this new version of the game. I still think it has that potential. Whether or not we ever get to see that potential realized remains to be seen.

for me i like WIAB more because the plot is there and it is being followed through the VN.. summers gone is awesome to but the plot has been lost and now its nika and a bunch hot chicks that wanna bang him and milf's to including your precious katie .. does anyone even care about summer anymore lol the new title should be Nika's hoasis .. first come first serve if his junk ever starts working again..

i have to disagree.. there alot of people that spent hundreds if not thousands because they are heavily invested in ocean's vision and enjoy it very much.. who are we to say what is important someone's life or wants an needs.. or is this a communist thread that if we dont see it your way its the highway?

For must of us here who haven't spent a dime supporting we have no reason to complain. But those actually supporting the project definitely should raise concerns, but they should be doing that on Patreon and SS where Ocean will see not here. Im here cause I'm not paying and I like the discussion and actual theories.

Even so I don't know what difference it would make to Ocean, SG is clearly his primary interest as well as source of income.

You can complain if you support or not, I have my concerns as well, Im just saying complaining to complain is just a waste of time if your here just free riding, i'd rather actually talk about the game than 100th post about the dev and the time its taking to put out an update.

WIAB for me changed how i looked at VN's because honestly it was so good i feel like you could make into a movie seriously.. SG is great and very entertaining but to me WIAB is on whole different level and stands alone as the best VN made to this day .. there are many great VN's but WIAB is at the top of the mountain for me ..

Well... it has sex, for one thing, and pretty good sex at that. I do like both of these games quite a lot. The style is exceptional.

At a conceptual level, you might be right.

But in reality, literally nobody in the entire world NEEDS an AVN. If one feels they need an AVN, there's a bigger issue in their life than the lack of progress on their favorite AVN.

And in practice, if one has spent hundreds if not thousands on this game, shouldn't the complaint be on the platforms where the money is spent instead of a pirate forum? Go lodge the complaint where it makes sense.

The bottom line is, it's entirely fair to criticize Ocean's lack of update after paying for it and complain about it. But it's utter stupidity to complain about that in a pirate forum, where people get it for free.

Oh, that's not even in the top ten stupidest things I've read in this thread. But I agree with you on one thing: it's impossible to convince anyone of anything on the internet, just a waste of time.

This is a public forum, and if these people want to complain, they will complain. Maybe it makes them feel better or more important, or maybe they just enjoy spending time this way, who knows. The best you can do is to hide them if they annoy you and move on.

Some people donate to Ocean, and others tell them to stop because... Frankly, I don't even want to listen about their reasons.

On the other hand, some people complain on a public forum that Ocean makes a lot of money he doesn't deserve, and others tell them to stop because since they don't donate, they have no right to complain.

As for me, both are sticking their noses into other people's business. Just like me now

Whoa, I just realized—the last update was over a year ago! Personally, I like to wait for a year’s worth of updates before replaying a game on this site, and only if there are three or more updates during that time.

What surprises me the most, though, is how overwhelmingly positive the comments are here. In other games, after months of waiting, people usually start worrying about the game being abandoned. (By the way, after a year without updates, doesn’t the game normally get the "On Hold" tag?)

Is there a particular reason behind the strong support you all have for this game?
