William have real retarded behavior in story so far.
In fact, it's Princess Leia who shows retarded behavior now, even her closest allies and companions, Emilio and Riri, are about to leave her, and set an ultimatum. And that's the real reason why she called Willie. At least that's what she said.

Well I have to take my words back. Ocean does have a plan. After seeing the leaked final scene, I can confirm that he has this shit planned out until the very last moment. Posting it below.
=======

Wollust. Fog. Remains of a burned house. Only the gazebo remains. William stands in front of it, reminiscing about times long gone. Next to him is a generous 5 foot tall 18 year old. He breaks the silence first.

"Don, what are you thinking about?"
"About how things change yet stay the same."
"Do you regret anything? Do you regret.. having me?"
"No, you will always be my consigliere. Even if my relationship with your underboss isn't the best now, it's not your fault."
"Will the Familia ever be whole again?"
"We'll see. Time heals all wounds."

The scene slowly pans out and the two figures vanish in the fog.

Finito.

Hey, now, there is a long tradition in the Mafia of sleeping with the fishes, and it's a much more fun way of going to the mattresses.
I'm pretty sure this sleeping with the fishes is better XD

We keep quoting The Godfather or The Sopranos, but I'm starting to suspect Ocean was more inspired by Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

So all in all, one can make the game worse than it is just because one is anal about the fact that ones favorite fetish is no longer included. But I don't have to take that seriously and accept it as a basis for discussion.
Pardon me, but if you would read our posts, e.g. Dr.TSoni or mine, better you could see that that is not our argumentation at all!
Sure the incest arc would have helped explain Willi´s flight better, but this is not the key point, the old story could function with and without incest arc.
Neither is the crime story the problem, since even in the old backstory Uncle Joe´s escapades and the worrisome gang problem were an important factor.
No, what infuriates us is Ocean´s pisspoor and stupid rewrite! By the info gained during WIAB 4 it is blatantly obvious that Willi has ZERO logical reason to ever return to Wollust and the people who treated him like dirt and betrayed him multiple times. The fear of revenge is another load of bollocks, it is very obvious where Willi now lived for 7 years is a city where the families of Wollust have few to no influence or any revenge unleashed on Willi would be more expensive than the outcome could bring. Willi and Miru had no problems there with "their old lives".
The marriage stuff is equally stupid! On one hand Willi and Leia are chips to be married off for the gain of the Zane family, but on the other they are treated like afterthoughts, never Zanes. What, prey tell, would be their worth in the marriages? Anybody with a single braincell would see that they never were "real" Zanes, so worthless in gaining prestige for the Zanes.
It is made clear that for Helen the only worth Willi and Leia have is their supposed mariage potential, otherwise they are worth- and powerless. Then we see Leia with all her own enterprises.o_O

This new update is a heap of rubbish even penny dreadful authors would think twice if they should release such a crap!

It's not even the same game anymore... So many things redone and changed... I thought the next chapter was the camping trip and that didn't even happen... He didn't get a chance to talk about his case or anything smh....
Sad...this 1 had a lot of potential..
I think you have a problem with your keyboard. You should get that checked out :WeSmart:
Confess Mavi how happy you are to have new material XD

For what? He's a nobody....something Leia takes great pains to remind him. No family, nothing. As I stated in my deliberately long and silly post, asset for what exactly...and they gonna force him upon? No one wants him.
Almost a full day and still haven't read anyone making sense of this.

William is a Fettuccine and Leia a Pepperoni. Two trash families that were eliminated. They were saved out of pity and have no standing amongst the families. They are basically the lowest of the lowest garbage in this Mafia shit. Scarlet points out the Don Tagliatelles don't want Leia in charge because she's a Pepperoni and they ain't worth shit. She also points out that William is worth even less than shit as a Fettuccine.

With all this in mind we also have William saying that he wouldn't be killed because the Don Tagliatelles love him. We have Katie saying that they are worth too much and being paired together would be "wasted potential" and that William, herself and Leia should be reserved for "strategic alliances". I mean this Mafia plot just makes so much sense that it contradicts itself incessantly in one single update.

The game keeps screaming at me that Leia and William are both incredibly valuable and absolutely worthless at the same time. I'm being bombarded with "logic". It's too much.

You are overthinking and over analyzing let the story unfold. Don't unload all your criticism at once on a single update save some for the upcoming update cos you'll need it :ROFLMAO:.

Ok! But this is basically the introduction that Ocean offers us to this new world, and it's a bit weak, to say the least. Furthermore, since Ocean chose not to define how it works but simply lets the term Mafia or underworld do the work for him, we cover the unexpressed parts with the "common" knowledge on the subject.
So William is a soldier and also suspected of being an "infame" and for some reason he wanders around the city unpunished and lays his hands on the Godmother's daughter.

I get what you're saying but...this is a trend with Ocean. You don't just get questions that will eventually be answered. You literally get a deluge of conflicting information. Every single time an update comes out. Without fail.

I chuckle everytime someone mentions Ocean has a plan. His plan are hopes and prayers. That his playerbase is too distracted by the pretty pictures to read text or just too stupid to question the nonsense he presents as a plot.

OK, I'm sorry, but this is just not right. The Zane family is not ALL the families. The Judges are not Zanes. The Judges are the ones that will decide how to punish William for running away. They are not watching closely enough (we think) to see or even care about petty misbehaviors like messing around with Katie or Leia, that is an internal Zane matter, anyway, and Helen would handle that as she sees fit.

If he got married, that may or may not be a matter with the judges, not sure who has that jurisdiction.

You're just pissed off and throwing stones. There is more logic and consistency in the current story than you give it credit for, and is easily explainable in that paradigm. Wollust is not Sicily or NY. It's not anywhere except in the Oceanverse. As long as it works in the story, that's all I care about.

I have to say, i expected kinda the worst outcome after ocean stated that Willy isnt blood related to the zanes anymore.

But ... i can kinda live with it? Yeah the mafia is kind of a cop out (in a sense that they can easly apprently change identitys and so on) but it works for me like that, it "explains" why they are really close and have this history with each other yet arent real siblings.

Really enjoyed all the Katie stuff this update and Leia is interesting too
Exactly my thought since the release day. If all the blood relations are being removed to "future proof" for the upcoming politically correct idiocracy, then

is a much a better idea than, you know, "ALIENS!" :ROFLMAO:

I don't intend to get close to those tits even using your hands XD

I don't see what difference these specifications should make. In the environment we're introduced to in this chapter, any of these little things could be considered valid reasons to liquidate William on sight; at best he should get away with a bullet in the knee, certainly not "maybe we should send him away from the city."

That was stated as a possible judgement. Exile was the first negative result presented, but they also implied execution was a likely punishment. Helen's punishments were more likely getting the shit kicked out of him, or something like that.

Well, Ocean had a plan for the old WIAB backstory and plotline. Then he got spooked and fucked by Patreon, so he went into "I am your bitch" mode instead of showing some backbone and writes for the politically correct imbeciles. They have never thought with anything but the brain stems, so the uttter rubbish this update represents, flies fully over their heads.

"August Byrnes" from "Pale Carnations" is a beleivable padrone, who would fall down laughing seeing the families of Wollust including the "Judges". What would happen there if he were invloved, to quote Warren: "Just look into the local news."
Hell, even Abel van Doren and Sophia Lundgren would utterly fuck over the Wollust Mafia and the two doctors are not even Mafia at all!

It might be my fault, but in four games I haven't noticed any reference to punishments worse than exile. With the exception of Giuseppe, if he were to try to kick Willy out, he would die.
