I know how it happened in the original game and reading his posts, I know how he intends for it to happen now.

If you are going to play this game for those reasons, you will be very disappointed.

The focus is on story, realistic characters and plot. Not on fetishes.

Well if the story/plot is that good then no i won't be disappointed.
Been a few of those where i came for the content, stayed for the story.

This is probably the only game i played where i actually liked the dad who has/had the rough asshole look but is actually caring and has your back and felt real, at least in the original.

I think even without the family relationships, the game explains that MC has known all these people for a long time and were all very close. I supposed we all may interpret things differently, but that seemed very apparent to me.

Definitely didn't to me. Everyone hated the MC. The game doesn't let the player in on the vast amount of knowledge the MC has. Sure everyone must have been close at some point but things clearly went wrong. Why would anyone ever go back to that? If there had been any contextual clues that these were family, then it would have been different. Throw in the 'landlady' *wink wink* title at least. As much I thought I hated that, at least it gave the reader some idea about the sort of relationship we should be expecting between the characters.

Same here ; quite the surprise when I first met the character. I thought we were going to have the a-hole archetype but he's a great guy to have around. Even with NTR!Miru in the original, he actually talked to her and reasonned with her (hell even when taking a shit, he's supportive).
I'm sure we'll see his flaws in some backstory in the rework too but if we can support him and help him, I'm all about it.

Yep he already acknowledged his faults and he's already trying to make amends while keeping MC and Katie to kill each other. He's actually a good father right now.

It is tragic indeed... we've seen so much douchy dads (and mostly absent or dead dads) that a nice normal one is like a nice summer breeze to us.
I will be his wingman to whoever he wish to woo (cause he already refused Miru and he's not onefor incest from what we saw)

"Thanks" to the physical embodiment of incompetence that is Scholz and his government! And you even cannot go French Revolution on these boys and girls. They show every day that they do not use their heads, so reenactment of the old Place de Greve won´t help.
Still, I think Ocean will get faster with experience, his new hardware and if he can push the update intervalls down to about 4 months that would be great!

Regarding this update, yeah I reached many points where I thought it would end, but it kept going so props for that it was indeed beefy update after a long time. Obviously game looks visually incredible, but I wonder if such great visual details and effort is wasted if game will lack steady flow of updates and interesting routes/scenes in it. So far it has been a bit dry in terms of actual sexual stuff, it was enjoyable experience otherwise, but for people who came here to have a grand finish might be a bit disappointed.

Quick question, do you only see CG's and scenes in gallery that you have unlocked or all? Since it seems like I have all unlocked I wonder is the route linear up to this point? Or it's not like there are 2 scenes happening at choices, rather Show or Don't Show and I happen to collect all "shows".

He’s had a lot of experience already, hasn’t he? We’re coming up to 5 years of development I think.

Experience is not just experience. It is also seeing where to save time. The biggest enemy in some sense is Ocean´s perfectionism. Just look at the drama with the music. What Heckmäck that was to get the various songs only to now loose many of them again. That is not necessary, that is a side area.
If Ocean could start just focusing on art and text, this would give a serious push.
Still, he is getting a bit faster already. He worked on both games, next SG update coming rather soonish, if he can get into a rhythem, then updates in ok intervalls roll in.
Besides, Ocean at least delivers when he does. Look at AWAM, which is down to single events every couple months, which is slower than ever before. What a joke!
