It's a rework of the original one. The base of the story is there, but dialogue and scenes were change, models were changed, there are tweaks to the story that make them more 'realistic'. It's still the same characters and its following most of the original story.
There had been games that had a remake and I didn't like them, I personally loved the one done to Where it all began. Give it a try

So the remake has me invested more than the previous ones already. The characters are well written this time around, fleshed out and seems more grounded than their past versions, i even started liking those I previously hated.
The update is definitely big but for some reason I didn't feel fulfilled when i finished it. Probably because the past version got so far ahead in the story and even after years we're still not even halfway through towards reaching the point where it left. I also play Summer's Gone and love the game, but I can't help but think what it's like from a perspective of a player who's only invested in this game alone. Is it frustrating? Because waiting almost a year for another chapter of a remake musta have been a test of patience. So In my opinion it would have been better(?) If the dev focused on one game at a time. Because from if I remember right both games are still far from the halfway point after years of development. Who knows how many remakes might also happen in the foreseeable future knowing the dev's drive for perfectionalism, not that it's a bad thing but working on two at the same time can cause hiccups and frustrations along the way and in worst cases, burnouts.

One of the best animations I've ever seen, along with 10/10 dialogue and music, on top of actually deep characters that have distinct personalities beyond just being horny - the first time I played this game it instantly registered as a red flag because no fucking way a game this good exists and is not at the top of the charts. I guess it's kinda true because the update pace is extremely slow, which checks out because it does look like a lot of work goes into every scene. Still, I'll be keeping an eye on this one for sure!

Well, the static images are supposed to represent life experiences so it is highlighted.

But your sight does focus on and blurry in a similar way. Put a finger in front of view. Focus on the finger, then focus on the background. You will see how the blurry changes. What you are not focusing on, will be blurry.

Perhaps but the way I see it the blurry backgrounds are mostly dev trying to save up computing power where they can to speed up the work the real life counter part effects of it might just be a convenient reason enough to do so.

As someone who enjoys the NTR stuff...I appreciate this version more...because it seems more realistic. So far, MC and Miru have a great relationship. The only "NTR"...is that people are seeing her naked while they fool around or whatever. Not even NTR. This leaves it open in the future for whatever Ocean has planned. Straight up cheating if MC is a dick to Miru? Maybe sharing? The whole open relationship route where they are ok with each other being with others?

This approach is much more realistic and not some shitty porn game logic. This new version lets you build a relationship with Miru better as the player. You'll either hate to cheat on her, want to share her, or want to be faithful to each other. Or some combination of that. Either way, I think we'll all be able to build more of a connection with these characters in various ways...

Now...if only the game will finish before we're too old to use computers...

I love it too mate and I am very curious were ocean is going with this I think the open realationship is good whatever ocean has planned with miru,porn,swinging or whatever it is in his mind but I hope that real ntr happens natrually and not like ok mc is a ass and cheats like crazy,ignores miru and than she looking for different person thats nor really ntr for me if you ignore her and have no feelings for her.

So I hope we get the option that it happens natrually maybe leia or the gang that is very dangerouse maybe there is a rival in there the brother of gina or the guy that stole his phone to sabotage the relationship with miru or someone I really hope so because sharing ,or breaking up with someone igonre someone and they move on and all this stuff is not really ntr just realistic or other kinks like watching your wife/gf

I really like the new version of this game, but like others said about updates, all this character building and i will lose any connection to these characters because the release of next version probably will happen like year from now and fuck i will be another 1 year older..

Sidenote - One thing that i find awkward about miru is this "wombi" stuff etc, i don't like the word "cringe" but well it does that for me.

I also hope the Dev is young, so he/she won't be making this game still when he/she is 90 years old and im under the ground.

The story doesn't seem to have shifted more than a tiny amount beyond the first release almost a year ago....renders are nice but if it takes this long to dribble out a few extra minutes of gameplay, we'll all be dead by the time this game actually becomes comprehensive...

Could it be you are using a save which does not work well with a beta version? The new chapter is definitely longer than just "dribble out a few extra minutes of gameplay"!

You're not missing anything, and you're not the only one that feels that way. The renders are beautiful, the big pixel tiddies are great, but the writing is atrocious. Too many uninteresting characters with barebones development, incoherent plot with no hook, nonsensical character behaviors, and cringe dialogue with one too many mentions of "bibi" and "wormy". Then there was the stupid "spider hunt" filler that I think was meant to be some kind of comic relief moment... After the third girl jumped on the MC wrapping her legs around him even though they're all supposed to be mad at him, I gave up on the plot and just started clicking through the dialogue to at least get to some tiddies... only to find that it's still just Miru scenes.

On the upside, they are fantastic pixel tiddies. It's worth keeping on the watch list for that at least.

I downloaded the new beta and started from scratch. It stops just after I encounter Helen...there's not much there...
