I'm full of questions. The game is currently on Ch3. It will launch on Steam and GOG as Season 1. Here they are talking about it as Ch4... So what will the Steam and GOG versions contain now?

It will not launch as Season 1 afaik. it will be chapter 4. It will launch as early access. S1 will be 6 or 7 chapters.

What we are getting will be Chapters 1-4 and I believe season 1 is supposed to cover 8 chapters though that is subject to change over time.

Is it because he doesn't want to because he can't

Old WiaB had incest. Patreon doesn't like incest and will shut down accounts over it. Ocean ran two Patreons, one for WiaB and one for Summer's Gone. If he attempted to start another Patreon and they crack down on him again, it's possible it could affect Summer's Gone, which is his cash cow. Easier to pivot away from Patreon and try to find other income sources (Subscribestar, Itch, Steam, etc).

New WiaB is in a weird grey area where I think we're about to lose the incest completely but it will be a messy explanation. I could be wrong about that though, I don't really stay on top of things like I used to. Theoretically, if it had no incest, he could try again possibly but probably won't do anything that could result in him losing SG's patreon.

I'm more interested in what happened to his plans to create his own website with the possibility of donation. I look at the developer "OppaiMan", he doesn't care about the rules of the patron, he has his own website with his own universe of games.

I think that's on you. All the lewd scenes in the gallery are unlocked for me, and I don't use any mods or unlockers.

Having said that, I agree that the gallery is a mess. Inconsistent UI. "Return" buttons that don't work. And just a generally poor design that screams "I'm trying too hard to look different and cool but I'm failing miserably".

I don't think so. The CG replay gallery for Miru and MC in the bar. I've done all variations for that multiple times. It remains blurred (unlocked) and says "Play dart and drink". It's where Miru and MC lose and lift their shirts. It just won't unlock.

I've had similar things happen in SG where I get a scene and it won't unlock in the gallery. His gallery coding has always been poor in my experience.

The old uncensor patch replaces the script. it would need to be done for all the new scenes. And you have to trust that the uncensor patch hasn't misunderstood the story and changed legitimate uses of the term landlord ie Dana IS Willi and Miru's landlord once they sign the contract for the appartment

As far as Steam goes, we don't know. Ocean made a statement that he withdrew ages ago about relationships. I can only imagine he wants to reveal some of those things in game. Steam doesn't seem to care, but because the game is tied to SG... who knows? We'll hopefully find out in 3 weeks (1 week steam resubmission, 2 weeks with curators for site reviews).

That's my thought too. WiaB won't be going back on patreon, Ocean's been clear about that. I imagin you can't resubmit a project that has been booted. Plus, he'd be continually stressed about it, when the plug will be pulled again.

From what he said and took back in an old devlog... is too long ago, and he might have changed his mind, so in three weeks we'll find out what he's uploaded to steam (fingers crossed) and we'll be able to guess the direction moving forward.
