100% this. I despise Steam, GoG always ftw.Yeah, the GOG installers seem to be the bare minimum - if WiaB has DLC's they'll likely be separate downloads, and you don't have to use their launcher to install, which is a big plus for me.
I like GOG okay, but Steam is about a decade ahead in terms of functionality and features. Yeah, the DRM sucks. Whatever. Most of my games work when I switch PCs just fine, saves and all, where that's a crapshoot with GOG.100% this. I despise Steam, GoG always ftw.
I couldn't give two shits about functionality, achievements, friends or anything else. I just want to play a game...without being forced into doing other things/connecting to something/whatever whenever I like, wherever I like and be able to install it/uninstall/mod/etc how I like, locally, on my drive regardless of whether I have internet. Steam 'itself'...is DRM.I like GOG okay, but Steam is about a decade ahead in terms of functionality and features. Yeah, the DRM sucks. Whatever. I had the opposite issues with GOG. Steam version of Cyberpunk ran better. Don't even get me started on the clusterfuck that's the MS Store/XBox app on PC. Ugh.I couldn;t give two shits about functionality, achievements, friends or anythijng else. I don't want to have to install Steam and deal with it's almost daily fucking updates and have it running just to play a game (or start clicking shit to play 'offline'. Also, despite it's many circle-jerk fanboys, so many games do not actually work well on Steam compared to the original disc versions or GoG versions.

99.9% of every single Ren'Py game via Steam is exactly the same way you get it from Patreon/SS except it is a market build and meant to be ran on ALL OS's. There is only DRM on some and that is DRM inside of Ren'Py and that same DRM is bundled with their Patreon/SS version. As for WIAB, we'll have to see, but I have no problems with the SG Steam version vs. the F95 version.
...and I only go raw....99.9% of every single Ren'Py game via Steam is exactly the same way you get it from Patreon/SS except it is a market build and meant to be ran on ALL OS's. There is only DRM on some and that is DRM inside of Ren'Py and that same DRM is bundled with their Patreon/SS version.
Bonus on some is when they have Patreon login, since Steam doesn't allow that, there goes some games DRM that never get implemented back in
So with "adult" games via Steam is is the "raw" game....
Don't ever use a black light in your room then...and I only go raw....
won't be updating the gallery for Chapter 4.
if the labels containing the lewds exist how is this not a 15 min task at most
For the time Steam takes to respond again.if the labels containing the lewds exist how is this not a 15 min task at most
Cause your position in the line is lost, fix it and go back to waiting for assessmentif the labels containing the lewds exist how is this not a 15 min task at most
I don't know if I understand you completely, but from what I understand from your post:The Steam image is only quoted to highlight the consequence of neglecting what should be a mostly copy-paste task
Im not making a statement about Steam's verification process, im commenting from a programmer's perspective
Sorry, I don't get the point behind your post - no offense. The Steam image is only quoted to highlight the consequence of neglecting what should be a mostly copy-paste task
