Just because it's fiction it shouldn't make you unable to recognize negative traits in characters.

If we really want someone who isn't a criminal, there's always Mon, she's an angel. Could wait and see if Abigail gets any tough love. And let's go with Sonya as the only one in SG whose dirty laundry we know nothing about.
(I'd say Vic, but Rnasc would likely vomit on me and drycleaning is expensive).

Look. Yes. Leia is a kingpin. Queenpin i guess. But she's honest in her dealings. That is why people are asking why the hate on her. Unlike others who pretend to be someone they are not, she makes no bones about it. At least to her family. She is a very calculating person, too. She called the MC because she knew he was the only one who could really reach Helen in her current state. She pushes him away after he shows because she doesn't want to put him in jeopardy. Also, she doesn't want him to meddle in her affairs. That is just my opinion on her actions, any way. The point is. She's hot. She's honest. And she's trustworthy to her family.

You guys are evaluating these characters as you would your real life long-term partners dude. Yes, it's a game with a focus on human interactions so their ethics do play a role, therefore not quite GTA, but it's still a game in a fictional crime setting. Defiance obviously can be an attractive trait too.
Like I have some qualms about Leia ethics-wise too. Arms-dealing and (allegedly) having someone whacked? Yeah thats pretty off-putting in a game with a decent focus on relations between characters. But drug dealing or prostitution? Or Bella breaking into someone's house and stealing stuff? It's still a game, who gives a shit. Some of that has some allure to me. VNs give you the opportunity to go into that without the real life repercussions after all.
So when you discard characters based on just any criminal behavior, it does come across like the tweets above. You actually can have some fun with it ya know.
(Not saying you have to like Leia, Leia sucks pretty hard)

I get what your angle is and I'm certainly not telling you who you can/should like or not. That's not the point here. The user I replied to asked why Leia was hated by some, maybe most. And I explained why. You can live out your fantasy in the fictional story but you can't pretend that she isn't portrayed as an absolute garbage human being.
That's what my point was. Yes, it's fiction. Yes, you can like her character. All of this is fine. What you can't do is pretend she isn't a horrible character by any legal, ethical or moral standards.

Very fair. I made my point because I've been seeing people (including you, but not exclusively) in both threads express their dislike for some characters listing reasons that to me only make sense if you had to have actual real life interactions with them. Your post reminded me of that. To me, that is either overly stuck-up (aka Elon), or theyre just missing the point of VNs in general. Sure, if your brain is just wired that way, then you do you obviously. But it might benefit some people to just take a step back imo.

Concerning LI's and their attractiveness: how has the plot changed Katie's attractiveness? She's still more realisticly proportioned than Helen or Leia (heck even Dylan is), her boobs aren't weird like Miru's (which look like implants the way they hang), Dana, Daphne and Zoey are all heading to the beach with their connective tissue to keep them afloat... so it's really only Katie, Mon and Kat that could fit your taste.

Oh it hasn't! Ch4 took away any and all interest I had in Miru and Katie but it has nothing to do with their looks. They still look mostly fine. And I say mostly because I find nipple piercings disgusting. All else is fine. Problem is they both just fell victim to character assassination by ch4

I don't hate Leia. I don't even give a shit if she's a criminal. I just think she's a crackhead for doing all of this shit because her childhood friend left her. Even after he told her part of the reason, she's still on some bullshit. Meanwhile, you have Monica. Someone who actually suffered something horrible at Williams hand only really resenting him for it. Not actually hating him. Even though she really should. But she forgave him at the bar since he put the effort forward. The same effort he tried with Leia but she wants to play games with the whole cold and detached act. And the crazy part is Leia did horrible shit to other people, including Monica. Yet, she wants to spiral because her orphan buddy left her?
Being sexy doesn't really work for me, if you're just awful to interact with. While she may be entitled to her feelings and act however she wants. I'm also entitled to not really give a fuck about her issues, if she's going to behave that way. Besides the money from doing business with Zoey and helping Katie, William doesn't owe anything to Leia. Even if she thinks he does. It's such a shame really because she was one of my favorites in the original version. But after the remake and then the rewrite, she's just been meh. She'll have to join Miru in the whatever basket.

Well almost all characters are criminal tho. Even our lovely Miru is killer by nature.
