In general I agree with you, but specifically the whole story is a house of cards that was based on incest and once it was removed the structure suffered damage.

I don’t understand at all how this will help the developers’ mentality. After all, it is they who create such content, and not the consumer of such content. The “demand creates supply” scheme does not work in this environment. These are the tastes of the developer himself, in the vast majority of cases.
The consequences of what happened to the real porn market in the 2010s still don't quite understand how it happened. You have normal fantasies in the 2000s. You have cheerleader girls, college girls, barely legal teens, and a lot of gonzo with directors doing sleazy interviews before scenes, feature movies with a large variety of different storylines.
And then, as if someone flipped a switch, you have step-sis and step-mom stuff practically everywhere, and the practically unused term "MILF" taken to absurd levels.
The generation born in the 90s became part of the audience, I really don't know why they turned out to be so degenerate the only thing that comes to my mind is the fact that they grew up under the influence of anime, which is not optimistic considering the preferences of the director Ocean

Both of oceans games are on my do not fuck with list now because the dude will do anything for a buck and if that means he has to never include a sex scene to keep it on steam he will do just that while milking his subs saying "just wait bro it will happen soon".

Dev is not working on it currently, not until his other game (SG) gets released, do'nt hold your breath it will be the 2nd half of 2026 if we are lucky

Ok thanks, hopefully it won't be abandoned that would be sad.After May 2025, Ocean barely worked on the game, so take a guess. (End of 2026)
I can never understand why devs don't concentrate on one game, if they have ideas for another game maybe do some writing for it and some concept for it but finish one game first.

True, but dev time massively bloated in the remake. Can't even remember if the remake was underway when Regium left, its been so long.
It feels like these games aren't being made to tell a story anymore, they're only to demonstrate the Ocean can make beautiful renders.

I can't deny it, it seems like the story has become secondary to any gimmicks or graphical improvements that Ocean wants to introduce.

Now that Mav's involuntarily away for a bit, I'll take this chance to say I wouldn't mind if WiAB was taken out back and put out of it's misery
If there is one thing I can understand in the entirety of Ocean's development process is the need to delve into a secondary project to prevent burning out on a single title or story. Sometimes ideas and inspiration dry out and switching to another project can keep things fresh for a bit until you're ready to return. Sure it sucks for us but I can see it working out great for him.

Which again, this is the man's livelyhood. Gotta keep that in mind. As much as I despise the changes to both novels, I understand that sometimes you do what you gotta do.
