Gotta play devil's advocate here for a bit.
Now that Mav's involuntarily away for a bit, I'll take this chance to say I wouldn't mind if WiAB was taken out back and put out of it's misery
If there is one thing I can understand in the entirety of Ocean's development process is the need to delve into a secondary project to prevent burning out on a single title or story. Sometimes ideas and inspiration dry out and switching to another project can keep things fresh for a bit until you're ready to return. Sure it sucks for us but I can see it working out great for him.

There are other options besides steam but nah he can't work with 75% income he needs the whole kit and kaboodle. We know for a fact that there are games that have been removed for steam and are making a KILLING on their own website like no mercy but no he wants the general steam income instead of making a good product that would sell through word of mouth.
And yes i donate to various projects multiple times throughout the year but i don't support devs who change their original vision just to make a quick buck. It's scummy, its sleazy and its lazy, hell you guys are lucky to get one update a year.

All fair points. And I've shat on the guy A LOT for kowtowing to publishing platforms, music license holders, etc.. He could have and should have looked for alternative ways of distributing his games but he chose to go mainstream, to go after the big bucks. Problem is he failed to take into account that both his games had a very central theme that is now considered extremely "toxic" in any mainstream platform. And the result is this shitshow.
The only point I disagree is that he no longer cares about his games.

The issue is that he took on two monumental projects. Updating from the old version was necessary, deciding to upscale to 4k renders when you can't even get an update out in under a year is adding unnecessary time, not to mention the more and more lengthy animations. He should just adhere to the KISS method... Keep It Simple.
We are at what? Chapter 4 after 4 years of reworking, with literally zero branching (except choosing if Miru gets groped and showering with Katie). If it's taking a year to churn out linear updates, what's going to be the ETA when there are 6 or 7 branches?
i think the thing he should do is make is own web site put his twos games without any cencorship put advertasing in the popular sites (f95 and others) and i'm persuaded he would bank people would turn in i'm pretty sure. personally i would. because now he lost almost everything boths is patreon ectect and his stories are a mess now...

Well, following your proposal how would he cash in? Bitcoin / crypto is still a very small niche for most ppl and the major payment processors are the real culprits for the way Patreon / Itch / Subscribestar behave towards AVN devs.

A dev log at an unusual time because my sleep schedule is disrupted from waiting on test-animations.

I've been prepping assets, scenes, and characters for the upcoming start of the development. I will give a big load of details in December.
I've finished the images I mentioned in the last log.

I contacted Steam, and asked them a few questions about the 'Early access release model'. Apparently Adult games weren't allowed to release in EA anymore, but the support guy told me that they are... I guess, I'll find out the moment I'll send the update to the reviewers.
Oh, and I mentioned my USK situation and how no one has answered me in 2 months. He said he will look into it. Mmmh.
Oh, and I see the question appear here and there... Will SS supporters get access to the update? Yap, on release date together with Steam and GOG.
I'll see you in two weeks... and if next Dev log starts happy, I succeeded with the simulation for that one animation...
And if not, I'll keep failing until it works.

Wow that's disappointing, he's just completely neutered it, not even the Uncut edition is able to fully recover the relations, only the one with Leia, everything else has just been too mangled to recover in a way that would make sense.
I was putting ch4 on the backburner thinking a patch would come around, but it seems he's just made that damn near impossible now for no reason.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed this before, but these scenes change depending on the choices you make in the game.
For example, the scene that appears in the first save happens when NTR is turned off and Mhy (Miru Horny) is high.
In the second save, the scene appears when Mhy is high, NTR is turned on, and the Bathroom NTR scene has already happened.
The one that appears in the third save is when NTR is on and Mhy is high, but the Bathroom scene has not happened.
Based on these observations, and because Miru keeps looking behind her while talking on the phone in the second save, I started to suspect something. I think something has happened or will happen in that scene (NTR).
For example, the scene that appears in the first save happens when NTR is turned off and Mhy (Miru Horny) is high.
In the second save, the scene appears when Mhy is high, NTR is turned on, and the Bathroom NTR scene has already happened.
The one that appears in the third save is when NTR is on and Mhy is high, but the Bathroom scene has not happened.

I just checked the code from that scene and it only depends on MiruNTR3x0. Mhy is not checked at all. There's a couple of lines that are different depending on if William said to Miru that he loves her at the train station, but it's basically just 2 scenes: normal or ntr.
Regarding the code, I did another PT yesterday and I noticed there're some inconsistencies with the flags KatieTrust4x0 and KatieInvolved. I think Ocean may have messed them up a couple of times and there's at least one bug in there. Have you guys talked about this or is this already well known?

The most dudes here only complaining about bullshit because of ...
reasons...
But doing something constructive, like report a possible bug, is to much.
Complaining is much easier and requires way less effort.
I recommend to talk about this on Oceans discord in the bug report channels. Or you send me here a DM with the possible errors in the script, best with a little explanation and I relay it directly to Ocean. I have never noticed this potential error, because I basically don't play any Netorare routes - no matter what game.
