Devs can request the tag, but mods can tag it without devs' approval. From the last patreon news, it's not on hold, it's still actively worked on.

I didn't request it, so must have been mods.

Downloaded it and got the issue where the game intro shows an error page, then you get to the main menu and it's fine. But when you just start the game, it gives another error.

Don't think the "on hold" tag is automatic, just the "abandoned" tag is. My guess is some mod saw Cheeky's message and decided to put the tag there.

We're just afraid to see this great game being abandoned. The last update wasn't that long ago, only like 4-5 months. Not long enough to put the game on hold. I don't believe those tags are even automatic, seeing other games like light of my life or recently become a rockstar being without 'on hold' tag for like year.

Well, there is a chance that eventually it will end up as abandoned, but in this case we should be a little bit more optimistic. Cheeky has rather kept his promises in the past. On top of that, he has a large base of people supporting him on Pateron, the loss of which could be really painful.

i agree. that ending with Jolina and Bella was a real cliffhanger and waiting for the update has been a long haul..and will remain a long haul. so when the new version eventually arrives, i will have to replay from the start to get back up to speed on what went on before..since you know..old guy here with a shitty memory..

Cheeky acknowledged what some of us already suspected: burn out. He also claims that patreon pays them less than minimal wage. So because he is burnt out and game pays so little he wants to... drums rolling... rework the whole game. Hahaha this is beautiful gotta love it

He also gave the reason for the rework genius, to get it on Steam for the possibility for more revenue but I guess it's funnier to pick and choose so you can complain?
