Jesus man, does anyone actually finish games anymore.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm in my 50's lil boy. Yes. If you dumbasses can't be arsed to search and read, that's on you. Now, welcome to the ignore list.
The Devs have a history of stopping payment when not meeting deadlines. Not sure what they do now since 24 came out but, unless you have facts to back this up, I recommend you vote with your feet and leave. Why couldn't the dev simply finish the game before putting it onto Steam? A complete product straight onto Steam, or is the point that he plans to cash in from each season separately and if he completed it beforehand, then the potential buyers might be rather reluctant to invest if they knew that they'd need to buy 5-6 separate seasons for the full experience?
This game wasn't bad and had quite a few unique strengths imho, the way how the scenes played out was pretty well done and the pacing of the scenes was great as well (in combination with the models it was a pretty great 8/10 experience), but as always a good product has to be milked and the income has to be maximized, even if the dev hasn't had a good work ethic for the last few years (1 update per year isn't really sufficient, especially if you get paid enough money to do it full time) he wants to get paid like a CEO, and I guess i cannot blame him at this point, cuz if you hit it off on Steam/GOG it might get you far more money then you'd ever be able to dream of on Patreon...
But I still think that the dev either should've first completed the game, or worked on an update while also reworking scenes on the side. Right now he's 100% going in on the milking which might turn off anyone on f95 who might have considered supporting them on Steam/GOG.
There's one more update left, possibly two. Once the redo of the few early eps and finishes the game, he'll be puttin it on Steam. At least that's how I understood it when CheekyGimp talked about it.Why couldn't the dev simply finish the game before putting it onto Steam? Joshy92 get your ass here, another collection from steam for you!
Was that plan passed down from great-grandpa Loli to grandpa Loli to dad Loli to son Loli? You sound so proud of yourself. How so? That's exactly what I did, so I agree with him. It's not hard, just get a few doctors to back you up and a couple other hoops to jump through. There's agencies that will do most of the work for you for a fee (and sometimes even that is waived). Not to mention mental disability is far easier to go with than Plan B, letting a train remove your limbs.
Are you really acting like $4,300 a month is some kind of gravy train? It's not. After Patreon's cut and taxes they would have nowhere near $4,300 left per month, probably significantly less than $3,000. The fact that $4,300 is in the top 1% just goes to show how unhealthy an industry patreon development actually is.After looking at the Patreon numbers, I can't say that I sympathize too much with any complaints about low wages. 4300$ per month is 3x! what the dev of Thirsty for my Guest earns. And he releases 1000+ render updates every two months with dozens of animations. 4300$ is top 1% earnings for an avn.
Redoing the renders like a maniac can lead to burn out. Best mental health when enjoying the work. Upgrading images is a grind.
Look at yourself and affirm: unlike that other guy, you are not a waste of skin and air.Was that plan passed down from great-grandpa Loli to grandpa Loli to dad Loli to son Loli? You sound so proud of yourself.
I did it the wrong way I worked for 43 years. Man, I can't look at myself in the mirror now.
I'm going to guess that CheekyGimp is doing what he thinks is best for his future earnings.
It's not like he feels any responsibility to the whining members here. Just a guess.![]()
I'm old yes and still human last I checked and humans are pretty fuckin petty. The entire human race is nothin but petty ass parasites. Have a wonderful night/day/mornin.50 year old man being a dick and getting in petty arguments on a forum for porn games. Genuinely one of the saddest things i've encountered. Christ.
There's a remake in the works?what exactly is being done in the "remake"?
Is he changing/upgrading models and renders or actually changing script/variables?
My assumption is that Patreon will take around 30% and then the remaining is split for the team as he is not a lone dev. So it's most likely nowhere near $4300/month for Cheeky himself. But as I mentioned a year ago, the issue is that it became below minimum wage "per hour" in which the amount of hours worked is decided by himself. So he could simply reduce the amount of hours worked per month if he wanted to increase the "per hour" wage. Ultimately, the monthly income stays the same. After looking at the Patreon numbers, I can't say that I sympathize too much with any complaints about low wages. 4300$ per month is 3x! what the dev of Thirsty for my Guest earns.
