hmm, this is... disappointing.Characters won't be updated but renders are and so is script/variables/dialogue/new scenes
the story has competed its arc, the relationships are at their apex, all that was left was plot resolution and character endings.
instead the author wants to start over? Steam is one of my preferred ways to support devs, but this is not the way to entice me.
I neither feel like starting over or waiting for another slow drip. maybe i'll check it out in 2030 when he finally decides to end it. /shrug

Better hope dev supports vr/ar haptics by then. if no vr/ag touchy feelie sensations.. F95 community will be just as as disappointed as they were back in 2024...

This is why I don't do the whole patreon thing. The entire set up encourages this. I won't pay 5,10 etc a month in perpetuity. I will donate a fixed amount and probably purchase when the game is done.

What are they searching for, exactly? 50 year old dude with no job thinks he can criticize people for not wasting time searching through every page of a thread or figuring out what to search with zero context. Yikes. Good lord, there isn't even 6 hours between any of your posts. I feel bad for your mom, having to take care of her 50 year old son.

Why couldn't the dev simply finish the game before putting it onto Steam? A complete product straight onto Steam, or is the point that he plans to cash in from each season separately and if he completed it beforehand, then the potential buyers might be rather reluctant to invest if they knew that they'd need to buy 5-6 separate seasons for the full experience?
This game wasn't bad and had quite a few unique strengths imho, the way how the scenes played out was pretty well done and the pacing of the scenes was great as well (in combination with the models it was a pretty great 8/10 experience), but as always a good product has to be milked and the income has to be maximized, even if the dev hasn't had a good work ethic for the last few years (1 update per year isn't really sufficient, especially if you get paid enough money to do it full time) he wants to get paid like a CEO, and I guess i cannot blame him at this point, cuz if you hit it off on Steam/GOG it might get you far more money then you'd ever be able to dream of on Patreon...
But I still think that the dev either should've first completed the game, or worked on an update while also reworking scenes on the side. Right now he's 100% going in on the milking which might turn off anyone on f95 who might have considered supporting them on Steam/GOG.

The Devs have a history of stopping payment when not meeting deadlines. Not sure what they do now since 24 came out but, unless you have facts to back this up, I recommend you vote with your feet and leave.

There's one more update left, possibly two. Once the redo of the few early eps and finishes the game, he'll be puttin it on Steam. At least that's how I understood it when CheekyGimp talked about it.

I'd rather the developers release a finished version of episode 25 soon than a remake, I've been waiting for years for this and I don't want to have to wait a few more years for the finale

Are you really acting like $4,300 a month is some kind of gravy train? It's not. After Patreon's cut and taxes they would have nowhere near $4,300 left per month, probably significantly less than $3,000. The fact that $4,300 is in the top 1% just goes to show how unhealthy an industry patreon development actually is.
