Don't know if that is done on purpose but it is the best option. So possible.
The parentheses indicate that a choice is an action instead of something the MC says.
The parentheses definitely do not indicate the recommended choices.

Who knows...and no.
And if a modder does..it will be as dumb as the original patch and make no sense. Just accept it is not an incest story and never has been or was ever intended to be. Just enjoy the fecking game for what it is.
In that context what is not between the parenthesis are the actual words the MC will say if you click that option, while the parenthesis are meant to indicate that it's the description of the action the MC will perform and not a dialogue line.

I played the original with Murray's mod that lets you do all paths at once and had incest patch and to me it made complete sense that way, more sense in fact than what this new version does, but that may only be me. He re-wrote some dialogue to make sense

Yeah, it worked fine for me to.
He's also wrong about it never intended to be incest, as there is some evidence that was the Devs original intent. Had to change plans pretty early on due to Patreon fuckery/censorship.

Yeah, you are, and it wasn't even a hard search to find this from the Dev himself. Have also seen quotes from back in the day that Monica was supposed to be Aunt and her girls MC's cousins, which makes the most sense and not that hard to tweak with a patch.

I haven't looked at this thread in a 3-4 months maybe longer how is the reworks coming along. I only saw mention of episode 25 when I looked 3 or so pages back
No game needs incest just because you like it. personally I think incest would ruin the feel of this game I like it much more without tho sister on sister wouldn't say no to that

thanks gonna be a tough decision when it comes out if I play it or wait for the reworks to be completed.
I suggest you to play the first season of the reworked, then start the original from Ep 11 using the "start at any episode" feature, so when Episode 25 comes out you can play it immediately... otherwise, with 99% probability, it will be spoiled for you!
