Hey folks,
Based on my original schedule, I was supposed to have 4 scenes closed off by the end of this week. But in actuality, I'll have three, which are:
Debbie scene: Now completed (But untested)
All of the closer scenes (I'm counting all of these as one scene). Will be completed tomorrow
Group 1 scene (the larger group). Hoping to close this late Sunday night, but it could push into Monday / Tuesday.
Overall, I'm approx 4 or 5 days behind where I would like to be (but at least it's days and not months). I'm still pulling out all stops to try to hit the end of month release.
I'm working 7 days a week, averaging about 16 hours a day... I'm not telling you this to get some congratulations (or sympathy), just letting you know that I am putting as many hours as I can into it. I'm not risking burnout as I'm still really enjoying it (enjoying it more than I have done over the past 4 or 5 years)... and the closer I get to the end, the more I'm liking it and the more productive I'm getting. Plus I'm making up for a lot of lost hours over the past few months where I was over-tweaking / over-thinking too much silly shit, instead of just powering through. (And taking way too many weekends off over the summer). So I owe this time!
Had a few issues over the past couple of weeks, including the fact I got pulled back into art as Cell had some personal stuff going on. I got 120 new images completed, plus approx 100 fixes, so I'm happy with the amount of art I got through , but disappointed that it impacted the time I had to work on the script. Although the script is over 42K lines, so that's pretty damn BIG. But when Cell is working, he is flying through the art...including today.
Another issue I had is that I got bogged down with the group scene... the amount of combos is a killer... I did the maths are there are 63 different combinations. For any permutation gurus out there are 6 women in the scene so the possible pairings are (1 with 6 girls, 6 pairing of 5 girls, 15 pairings of 4 girls, 20 pairings of 3 girls, 15 pairings of 2 girls, and 6 solo scenes). Yikes. Thankfully the OTHER group scene only features 3 women, so that will be a lot easier. And also... this doesn't mean I wrote 63 different scenes just for this one scene... It means I just had to account for 63 different combos/ variations depending on which girls each player is romancing. (making sure the dialog and the art matches whichever girls are supposed to be in YOUR playthru)
From a render perspective, I'm still counting, but I'm estimating that we'll have approx. 5,000 renders in episode 25 (which is also a LOT). Cell completed the lion's share (approx 2800), Centurion has completed 400, so the remaining 1800 are from me.
The one scene that I should have finished, but heaen't yet is the game night scene, so this is the scene that is behind schedule. I don't have a dedicated window to complete this scene yet, as I'm going to try to plug away at it (and catch up) while working on the other scenes (hence why it's the only one that I haven't given an estimated finish date)
The last scenes are (Note: None of these are unstarted... We have made huge progress on all of them):
Wedding scenes -In progress- Estimated completion 15th November. Pretty confident with this date, even if the group scene 1 above pushes into next week by a couple of days. All art will be complete in the next 2 or 3 days.
Group scene 2 In progress. (different women from group 1). In progress - Estimated completion: 22nd November. Pretty confident with this date, and hoping to shave a few days off this (and use these days to catch up on the game night). Most of the art is done.
Wanda scene - In progress - Estimate completion: 29th November Art/writing needs some work. Other than sex scenes, the writing /art are pretty much done.
Angel scene - In progress - Estimate completion: 29th November. Other than sex scenes, the writing /art are pretty much done.
Game night: In progress - Estimated finish date - TBD. art is mostly done.

I definitely won't miss next week's dev update, so you will be kept in the loop. And if anything significant happens in between, I'll do a midweek update.
I am trying to avoid teasers as most of the scenes we are working on now... the teasers might be considered spoilers... but on the other hand, it would be nice to share something... So I've added a few items below...

Wait so we get to choose who we got pregnant

In a certain way.
There's no explicit choice.
But some choices you made in the past do matter.

For instance you don't have to "have fun" with Bella in the garage if you don't want to receive her phone call telling you she's pregnant, because that sex scene ends with an unavoidable creampie, so the only way to avoid the creampie is to avoid the sex scene.

and it will show them pregnant in the game
I don't know. Maybe just in the epilogues, considering that showing selective pregnancies during the whole Episode 25 would mean to multiply the number of renders by 2^n , being n the numbers of girls who may or may not be pregnant.

A nightmare in terms of complexity...

Huh? Why would you need a mod for this game?

Just play it and see what happens based on your decisions.
That's not how these work. These devs are far from being rational.
For example, A scene where the MC meets a new girl.
* One dev implements a hug to be positive points
*For the same situation another dev will implement that as a negative point.
** Same can be said for a situation where You want to look at the girl like a pervert or not. I have seen devs awarding negative points for not looking/acting like a perv.
You never know how they will implement it.
Many people are not shut in with hours of free time. They just simply wanna play it in their free time in a single go, rather than going back and forth to see what's going on.

Will this one finally conclude? Because I can't defend it anymore... When they started reworking it, I was, like, "ok... It looks a little outdated... It really needs a revamp..." But it's been like what? Two years since the last episode? I can't even remember what it was like... It could have been done in one year or less... Just open the old scenes, fix the shaders, clothes, and lighting, and render again... Sorry to everyone I bemoaned while defending the rework two years ago. My bad... I sincerely apologize.

I think Ep 25 will be published by December 2025, January 2026 tops.

While I don't like to wait too... I'd rather prefer some more waiting than a rushed finale.

Yeah... However, after two years, if it's not awesome, it won't be due to "rushedness" but rather due to laziness or a lack of creativity. They had plenty of time to think about something good in those two years. Anyways, not a pledge anymore, so nothing to complain about (though I'm still planning to buy it on Steam when released). It's already a classic, despite everything, and one of the best games still going on (though this "going on" has been quite forced).

i didnt know teresa was a main LI ,i dont think so,and i dont know if dev will put alot of work into her....is not that she is important to the main story....
and who is important?
wanda, angel, zarah, natasha, ladyx, ladyy...?
apart from 5-6 main girls all others are more or less equally important to the main story. as theresa is...
in that regard you should probably reconsider your "argument" there.
it is mostly due to devs preferences (and/or patrons voting), nothing to do with actual "game importance".
