Quite a few devs come on here and release their games because many of them come from this scene, meaning, they had their roots here. F95 allows devs to take ownership of their game's thread and as such, pretty much dictate what is being posted. I'd call it a sharing site before calling it a pirate site, because unlike pirate sites, F95 fosters a community of supporters, of which there are quite a few on here, supporting various game developers out there. So, there is nothing wrong with him complaining about the dev taking his sweet time.

This is literally how I started into making my game, and actually ended up working for Cheeky for about a week. Totally agree with what you wrote, and how I plan to be when I get around to releasing.

Can't steal something that is released for FREE... and that is promoted from here. Most games I see on here are released for FREE. Usually people who pay to support them get them in advance. I usually avoid downloading any games until they have officially released the free version.

Well, games made with Honey Select are all free due to copyrights issue but not many games made with DAZ are free since you have the rights to sell them. There can be free demos though, of the first chapter or only one chapter behind the last update in the best case.

Well, most games I have seen on here have a free version. Supporters get access early. I haven't seen many that didn't have free released each update.

Dev update 17th November

Hi folks,

I am just going to come out and say it, without preamble... I will need a little more time (two weeks) to complete episode 25, so I am pushing the release date to the 13th December.

Come hell or high water, I will be releasing it then, so this is not the start of a pushed until January, pushed until February thing. I promise it will be out in December.

Last week I stated that I was approx. 5 days behind (and also had no specific window to complete the game night scene).

This week, I didn't catch up any of that time... I actually added a day or two extra... Not that anything went wrong... It's just that after playtesting one of the original end/closing scenes & one of the wedding scenes... overall, it just didn't come up to scratch. So I made some tweaks and came up with (what I think) is a much more fitting send-off for the girl in question. So, now I am going to apply similar extensions to all the other girls.

I initially planned to push out by one week, but that would still be cutting things close to the wire and not leaving any time for extra testing, so hence why I am going with the two week extension.

I promise you that I am working every available hour to get this over the line. Cell is working around the clock... Centurion is pulling it out of the bag on the Angel / Wanda scene and my proof reader / playtester is doing savage work on quality control. I'm still working 7 days a week, 16 hours a day. Although I did take a half day on Sunday to watch Ireland's world cup qualifier game (I'm not going to apologise for that as it was the biggest result / match / finale we've had in 20 years).

At this stage my missus is more pissed off at me than any player (that these hours will continue into December)... And she even "joked" (although she wasn't smiling) that if it continues my young son might start calling the mail-man "Daddy" as he sees more of him than he does of me, recently. I suppose it could be worse.. at least my missus isn't calling the mail-man Daddy... yet. (He's pushing 70 and he has a husband, so I think I'm safe for now).

Episode 25 is now over twice the size of episode 24, but I don't want to try add polish to what is in reality a negative dev update, by going into details about all the good stuff that we did this week and the progress we made on some of the last few scenes (or attempt to blind you with teasers) as it will just seem like I'm trying to deflect from the date push, so I'm just going to leave this message here as is.

And then I'll be back in 4 days for a detailed dev update on Friday (where I can regale you with all the good stuff and share plenty of teasers.)

For anyone that wants a refund for this month (as it WAS expected to be a release month), please send me a DM and I'll refund with no questions asked / no quibbling.

Thank you, didnt realize till after i stopped supporting the dev updates were paywalled... Meanwhile The Last Sovereign had 10 years of devlogs all available to anybody for free, with bi weekly updates, and that is a 80+ hour rpg.

The Dev from A Struggle with sin is super professional as well, he communicates couple of times per week and give us a report at the end of every week on what's he's been working on, and he's super apologetic when he needs to delay a new update for about a week... In counterpart this dev here doesn't seem to realize that he's already used every single excuse so many times over that people don't expect anything anymore... How long has it been since this game has had a serious development of new content? And I'm not saying the rework the whole game gimmick that they use to buy a couple more years of basically nothing... For how old this game is it should have been done already... It doesn't really matter the amount of money you are dealing with, i.e Rockstar with GTA, it proves that if you have a milking cow you keep it going until it dries.

The dev is not milking but adding so many End paths it's taking very long to end them all, he should just add all the possible endings with the main 5 girls, the rest can be added in the epilogue, but he is adding to many side characters and getting the update largers than needed, he is ending the game so why would he add more characters here? He added Scarlett Johansson look alike to the last update for god knows why. (Sure, the character scenes were quite good, but he should just concentrate on the main girls and do the rest in the epilogue.) He decided to not finish the final chapter and remake the game in the middle, which was the reason for the final episode being delayed more. No one is saying don't make remakes, but do it after you finish the game. Don't do it just having one chapter left to keep getting the Patreon support, because remakes are not going to get lots of support after he has finished the game is something everyone understands but he should have just done the final episode as his first priority.

They said it would be released on December 13, 2025 on Discord, so I think you should wait another 20 days. Everyone in the comments has angry the producer, and I personally didn't like season 1, which was released on Steam. Let's see what happens in EP 25.

I think people are rightfully annoyed because Cheeky has pushed back the release date again after a long update cycle that included doing the remaster instead of just finishing the game first.

We waited for a long time, but when we are nearing release we are losing patience. But in my opinion even if it take few days delay, it should be perfect ending. I'm cool with few more days delay because of huge branching and perfect ending. If ending is rushed, then again all of us are going to blame the Dev for not giving a proper ending after a long wait of the update.
