Sooo... were they stopping collecting pledges during those 5 months or were they milking the hell out of this 15 minutes update? 5 months * 7k = $35,000 for... what? When Cheeky just started he was hungry and was delivering nice updates on regular basis but once he got support he took the approach every other greedy adult developer takes on Patreon: exploit your fan base, do nothing, collect paychecks and maybe release a half-assed update once in 5-6 months.

Lolz, so it's not 5 months * 7,000 but only 4 * 7k? My god, this changes everything!! Ahahahaha.

I don't mind being called a greedy gumdrop personally. It's an improvement on some things I've been called and some of those even deserved, but I do take an exception when it applies to Cheeky. If you were a patreon as others have said, you would know that in addition to not charging for May, Cheeky also promised everyone of our patreons back in April that if they turned off payment due to the delays or really any reason, they could still message him to receive EP 17 when it was finished because he is a stand up guy I am proud to work for and with, who still paid our team while patreon was paused out of his own pocket.

That clock this update in at 8k plus lines, 500+ renders, and 19 assorted animations, not to mention the interface/gallery upgrades. Which is both one of our largest updates, and about 4 times the size of his early releases at a much higher level of quality. But please do advocate on behalf of our patreons when it's pretty obvious you are not one of them.

The episode was fun to play, maybe a bit too short but as a few of you have just said, after that time I guess it would always appear as insufficient. Not gonna complain about it though, because I discovered the game just after premiere of ep. 16 so anyway I had the pleasure to play it all at once. Maybe that's why I would like it to be longer, because I don't have actual comparison to previous episodes.
Plotwise, I like how the mystery slowly starts to unveil. Can't wait for ep. 18 already.

Right now I support only 4 devs, not just because I only like 4 games but because that's all the spare funds I can allow myself to use to support those whom I trust. But looking at your "dream milk team"... man, people like you never admit they are exploiters.

I shit you not I was, up to you to believe it or not, doesn't change much (just like me expressing my opinion here). But please get off my back with that "he's the messiah, an honest worker suffering to bring us joy, paying from his own pocket!". Just as soon as Cheeky began to gain wider support on Patreon he started delaying updates. At first it was not 1 month but 1.5 months, then 2, then 3 and now it's 5 months for an update. And please don't even start with all that "But mane! He included 15 extra pics, bruh!" or that "Codeng renpey geim iz haard!". As a software engineer with 15 years of experience in a few programming languages, Imma tell you - coding a Renpy game is a junior level task and - rendering aside - if I see a person saying how hard it is to develop a binary tree style game on Renpy engine I automatically know they have no idea what are they talking about.

Anyways, I feel like I'm a minority here and my posts will change nothing, so... see you in 5 months. >___<
