Although Katie and Monica (I love them) are definitely not the second gold digger, but if they were, I wouldn't have anyone to play for.. Because only they are the most important to me in this game.

And choosing money is not that good.. because we wouldn't get it right away. We got a certain sum every year as long as we didn't see Monica, Katie and Jenna. Either way, I would choose women over money. Money is not the most important thing in life, apparently for MC's father it was important. And MC's father is a total asshole, I don't like him.
Honestly, Dev made MC father so well, and I guess everyone doesn't like him.

Yeah, to me the two reasons I could see to go for the money are 1) I was focused on one person who turned out to be the gold digger or 2) because I was playing a "fuck them all" run and they all found out, it blew up in the MC's face (a bunch of the women telling him to never contact them again) and then he has no reason to choose the women because they don't want anything to do with him.

Since the MC gets a percentage each year he could take one year away (even travel to another country for a year) receive the money for that year and then come back. The conditions were that he had to have no contact with Monica and the girls, but he could have someone else act as a go between - not passing notes - I am sure that would violate the conditions; but if Jolina told him that Jenna was okay, I don't see how that would disqualify him.

Anyway. I just hope the big reveal is update 20. 19 is the beach house party IIRC, so it would be nice to have the will reading after that.

Considering the build up I can't imagine that Cheeky and Ace would just make it the most obvious character (Theresa). Though with the amount of "Scooby Doo" theorycrafting that has taken place I expect that when the 2nd Gold Digger is revealed someone will immediately post that they "knew it all along" and then dredge up and quote their old posts.

The only character that would hurt to find out is the 2nd gold digger is Monica... Everyone else doesn't have as much of an impact on the game. And when it comes to drama, Monica is the one most likely to result in the most if she is revealed to be the 2nd gold digger. But I don't see it...

Elaine is called a gold digger by the father of MC (he calls her that in one of the reading at the lawers office). The father also says there is another gold digger but gives no name... thus the mystery.

Just because MC's father called her that doesn't mean she is like that. Father MC is an asshole, he doesn't treat anyone right. Even his own son.

This exactly, and exactly how this works in most countries providing the children are no longer minors. Why so many wills are contested (especially in the States)...entitled kids and siblings and long-lost relatives driven by greed who think they are owed something. Also funny how most of those contentions are thrown out of court too.

There's a reason it's one of the most popular crime story themes heh.

Well the most obvious thing would be to cast doubt in either way. Debbie/Jolina - Both connected to different parties. If it just said lesbian and there was only one lesbian in the game ... it wouldn't be much of a mystery.

I doubt the gold digger is Monica, but I wouldn't be surprised if she is truly responsible for your parents failed marriage. Maybe because she made a pass at your dad or maybe because she lied about it in order to encourage your mother to leave him. Either way I'm not so sure she is innocent. And even if she is guilty I doubt this would be something she would tell her daughters.

And the thing about Scooby Doo was that the villain of the episode went through such complicated and convulated means to do what they were doing for an even more convulated reason. So with all the people looking at it like that, that's why it would be funny if it ende up not being so complicated.

It's like the Simpsons episode where the meteor is headed for Springfield and everyone thinks it's the end but then it just burns up in the atmosphere and lands as nothing more than a baseball-sized rock. Or the one with the angel that everybody thought was real but was just a marketing gimmick for a shopping mall, or when the alien Homer saw turns out to be Mr Burns. (Come to think of it, they did that kind of thing a lot on The Simpsons. )

Point is, it could end up being a big nothing burger but the intrigue surrounded it would have got people hooked, so in that sense it did a good job.

Exactly. His judgement is askew because he was an entitled asshole who no doubt assumed that anyone who even so much as looked at him wanted something from him, so he'd see any woman as a gold-digger even if they weren't.

Yeah, I am not saying it IS her, just that her being the 2nd gold digger would be the most dramatic. Everyone else is not a "main" girl of the right age. Unless the dad was screwing an eighteen year old (IIRC the affair happened a couple years ago) everyone that is the MC's age is eliminated (Jenna, Katie, Debbie, Lily) leaving the obvious answer (Theresa), the most dramatic answer (Monica), or a side character (Bella, Jolina, Zarah).

Well if Monica was telling the truth and your father was very into her and tried to get a pass at her, they say love and hate are two sides of the same coin. I could potentially see it being her. It's just that. Why would he start an affair with her after she has already costed her so much?
