Most renpy games don't have sound, they might have music, but that's as far as they would go and sometimes the occasional sound effect.
With the rare occasion where voice is also added to the game.

That’s built into Ren’py and they may choose to add it later. Many devs have stretch goals on Patreon to pay for it since licensing audio can be expensive and most of the game community don’t seem to need it in order to enjoy the game.

Well, the thing is, this game has an interesting plot. Or you won't be complaining about it's progression. So, the developer did much more than a lot of others. Yes, sometimes I also want to see more of the plot related stuff. But author can revile the secret only ones. And apparently, it will be in the end. Too much teasing about it can actually be annoying, when you know that. And I don't agree, that there couldn't be some type of harem ending. The game doesn't punish you for having as much LI, as you want during the game. So there could be an option. Starting to break up with almost everyone right now will feel strange.

Nah, a harem in this game wouldn't make any sense (YES you heard me right!) considering the characters. Small groupings as has been confirmed yes. The game hasn't punished us yet for fucking around but it will come and I don't think it will be the MC doing the breaking......
I can't be the only one refreshing the thread every 5 minutes, right?

If I remember correctly Cheeky always dropped the update around 8-9 pm GMT, so we probably have a couple of more hours until the update.
yes, you're the only one, most of us refresh every 30 seconds. we arent' able to wait 5 minutes.

Well, I see one very large group. Your mother doesn't make sense without sisters. And when we're talking about sisters, we can't forget about Debbie and Lily. Plus the coffeeshop owner, don't remember her name, but can't see any problems with her in this scenario, and what's more important, can't see her as a part of other group. There are others of course, who's place in a harem is more than questionable, I agree. But the thing is, I don't know, what's harder to make realistic. Harem ending, or ending where MC will leave anyone from that huge group. My problem is that MC acts to them, as a MC of a harem game. Says he love them, care of them, even tells them that he wouldn't leave. Of course I can imagine some events, that can convince MC, but I'm not sure this will be an enjoyable experience. Especially if as you say, girls will brake with MC. Imagine, that the whole game from now, will be just about girls leaving MC for one or another reason. It doesn't sound promising. In the end if something looks like harem game, written like a harem game and plays like one for two years, I want it to be a harem game. Just that simple.

Just to clarify Monica is not the MCs mother that's a third party mod that changes the plot of the entire game Monica is the best friend of the MCs dead mother and Jenna and Katie are her daughters not the MC's sisters.
The game was never planned to be a harem game and the devs have made that clear for a long time. If you are playing it like a harem game it's all going to come crashing down once everyone finds out how much of a Manwhore the MC is if you have being playing it that way, that was clear for a while as well.
No matter how much you or other people post reasons for the game to be a harem it's not going to happen apart from a possible non-canon bonus ending and certain multi girl groups.

but if there really were a chance to make it to the end with Katie, Lily and Debbie (I don't think so, but it's a possibility) wouldn't it technically be a harem? would it ruin the game?

It's because it's a porn site, hell the plot of 85% of the games in this site is "OMG you've got a big dick, let's fuck, who cares if you're my step-something"
here we complain because the plot pace is kinda slow or useless for the development of the story

Don't remember if Ace confirmed the katie/lily/debbie quadrouple but I think he did so that will most likely be a possibility, as well as a Jenna/jo throuple.
