I'm not taking sides on either side of this disagreement. But let's please state the fact that customers don't have to make a product to critique a product, evaluate a product, or decide whether or not they want to buy (or lease, or rent, or whatever) a product.

ANY product put forth to the public for use (or purchase) will be and should be evaluated by that public. Product void of customer feedback will turn into product that's inadequate or unwanted.

I've seen a couple people call this a "piracy" site. This is a bit odd for the following reasons.
First, devs post here. They work on engagement and on driving participation. They obviously want the exposure this site brings.
Second, the exposure works... people (like myself) have actually heard of a bunch of games and contributed to them financially because of the exposure of this site.

So, there's probably more to this place than, er, just piracy. It seems to me that it's a marketing tool and devs are actively participating in it to drive more income... plus to get some form of customer feedback. I'm not saying it's the most ideal form of feedback, a good chunk of the time, but something is generally better than nothing.

The fact that devs use it to advertise doesn't change it's original purpose. It was designed with piracy in mind but some devs got clever and saw how many people came through here and used it to build their player base. Then others try to sugar coat it and hide the fact it's a site aimed at piracy.

Without sites like this a lot of those games would never get any attention.

However, none of that changes the fact that regardless of a devs a permission, their game will end up here because we're all software pirates.

That is what the site was created for.

See trolling is designed to elicit an emotional response in the people that read it. I remember a couple of years ago in an mmo forum someone talking about how they "beat the game". That ended up with hundreds of pages of people saying he couldn't beat an mmo. That was trolling.

Low effort eel bait some of these lot throw out isn't even worth responding to.

Just let them piss in the wind.

It's interesting you say that, since I didn't come here to pirate software. I was just interested in a new genre of games and this seemed to be a large platform for that genre. In fact, all the software I've used, the devs claim it's available for free and folks only have to contribute to their patreon (or otherwise) if they want to. But whatever, call it whatever you want. I wouldn't be surprised if there's stolen stuff on here, there's thousands of games and I'm not interested in all of them and certainly haven't screened all of them. If I actually do run into a game I'm interested in that's truly pirated (solidly behind a pay wall but being offered here for free via crack or whatever) I'm gonna leave it alone, I have no interest in that.

A quick search shows you play Being a DIk and that is a pirated game.

I know this because the dev hates this site, long story that doesn't need retelling and involves more people than me. Will just say a few people think he's an immature prick and I don't need another warning so won't repeat what I called him.

Also the version available here is still for patrons so if you play that you are playing a stolen game. Welcome to piracy, i'll find you a cell.

I for now and ever maintain any comment I place on this or any thread as my pinion, not to offend anyone I welcome arguments against my words. but your comment seems to be incorrect one at that. Opinions very, but what is posted on this site is not all "porn" some have no sex acts at all. call yourself what you will, all while you enjoy the work of others as do we all.

I started a new run starting from the beginning (as a sign of my total trust in the words of the developers) and I must say that actually the presentation of Monica's character is worse than I remember (if I'm not wrong I talked about it with Machete) not considering the misunderstanding of the stuffed swimming costume, that has to be taken for what it is, a comic moment, in the whole initial part Monica is really described in a not very fair way, the shadow of alcoholism, she is always ready to beg for a compliment, to bend over or lean out in a provocative way, in the end Zarah has more dignity

I repeat: I'm talking exclusively about the first chapters, in which she is by far the character who drools the most over MC, and while for Katie and Jenna it is acceptable that they have an "old" crush on MC, for Monica this is much less acceptable.

then at a certain point the story gets going, and Monica remains one of my favorite characters, but I must admit that it starts really badly

Yes on my first playthrough and beginning i totally can't stand Monica for the same reasons, it was even more bad for me since i'm not attracted to her and can't stand that face anymore sry =D before "Where the heart is" i got already a turnoff in "Dreams of Desire" or "The Visit" with her face and stuff and.. its like she's hunting me, it's just not >my< taste.
But later on it gets better yeah and got to like her more too, but not that much that i could say "favorite" or so.

Yeah can't remember the names but could be Karen i think the face is almost identical and for Dream of Desire it was the Mom but slightly modified at least as far as i remember.

I checked both games again and yes for The Visit i mean Nikki and DoD it's the mom here is a good example:

Its the opposite for me, I love Mrs. Turner, aka Mom, but the older sis, in particular her hair style and tsundere attitude kills me.
