    • Exp for expeditions and scavenging have increased to 10 exp per trip, because taking 13 days for one rank is nuts.

    • Scavenging Rank 2 unlocks level 2 Seascapes that can be studied at the library, as well as doubling the loot rate and halving the trash rate of Rank 1 Seascapes.
    • Scholar Association Rank 2 unlocks researching Rank 2 Expeditions and Seascapes, as well as making Rank 1 research only take 1 day.
  • Text Sizes Increased
    • I increased the font of normal dialogue and interface text by a decent amount for PC/Web.
    • It seems fine but I'm sure something probably got fucked up.
  • Updated Tyra's Shop GUI
    • Now it looks more like Ashura's shop.

Fun update. Liked the Tyra and Balae event quest. Looking forward to the Nicole and Rat content coming up as well! Though, a bit sad we haven't got an Ashura rank quest yet, as she was the first person we met.

I do have a little gripe with the shop mechanic. Why do customers have to buy everything I have in stock!? lol. I get it's to make us constantly have to do expeditions and scavenging to keep up our stock, but it just seems weird that they buy the whole stack of stuff we have.

I mean, when I go grocery shopping, I don't buy the entire stock of bread. I buy one loaf. Yet, I'll have like, 10 of an item, and the customer buys all 10 every time. I even cheated as a test to see what would happen if I had a thousand of that item, and they bought all of it still.

Just feels off that they would clear out your entire stock, instead of just buying a couple things here and there to give you stock to carry over to the next day while you restock other items. I don't know if that is just a limitation of the mechanic, or if you designed it that way, but it just gets a bit frustrating lol.

Otherwise, nice update still. Definitely one I'm still enjoying. Looking forward to what comes next and thanks. ;)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, there is a little bug with the rank quests. I selected them from the journal to start them, and while playing Balae's rank quest, I right clicked to save, and it sent me back to the morning choice select screen and cancelled the rank quest. Had to restart the rank quest over again, but if I ever right clicked while doing it, it always cancelled it out and sent me back to the morning choice select screen again. It did the same thing during Tyra's as well.

Next update is Ashura/Nicole. I had to do Balae first because she's the gatekeeper of rank 2 expeditions/seascapes, so if you did Ashura first you'd unlock the rank 2 expeditions but not actually be able to research any. Massive design flaw, I know.

As for customers, what's supposed to happen is that if you set your pricing structure at "Below Market", that item will always sell out at the end of the day, because it's supposed to mimic like...Black Friday shopping, as a topical example. If you set the pricing "at market", there's an individual roll on every item, where there's a 65% chance that the item will be sold. So in that case, out of 1000 items, roughly 650 should be sold in bulk while 350 carry over to the next day. For "above market", there's a 30% chance of bulk sale, so you should still have the majority of your inventory the next day.

So the short version is that if you're in a bind, selling things below market will always clear out your shop. Items that can be used by other characters (like Nicole) have their faces next to them, so you can mark them as "no sell". Otherwise at the moment there's not much point in carrying over inventory intentionally.

As for the Balae quest bug...fuck. I spent so long trying to fix that, and I thought I did, but I never actually use the ledger to start the quests, I always go to the girl directly. Back to the drawing board.

Incredible art but pretty boring game tbh.
That's fair. The game it takes inspiration from, Recettear, is anything but "exciting", in hindsight. v0.3.4 will be focused entirely on making the management system more robust and make the world feel more "lived in" with characters you've met visiting your shop and mini random events, a gallery, and bonus side scenarios from collaborations.

Howdy, I figured it might be nice to actually let people see new characters that are in upcoming updates.

In v0.3.3, we'll finish out the faction quests with Mia and Rat. On Rat's quest, you'll soon meet Cheshire, an enigmatic Cat Feran quite obviously inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Her helpfulness has a direct correlation with whether you can figure out what she's saying.

i honestly have never been a fan of futa (somewhat fine if pc is futa) but the girls were cute so i gave it a shot and its pretty nice, though im still a bit hesitant. anyways cant wait till the next update

Howdy, meet Zoe, a normal human girl who is determined to become a martial arts master, but has no formal training, much like yourself up to this point. You'll have to gain her trust to find out the reasons behind her motivations, but perhaps that won't matter if she becomes yet another student who folds under Mia's relentless enthusiasm.

She's the side character for Mia's line of quests, if that wasn't obvious. Everyone's favorite Brother Douglass will be there too!

So Rat's story is fully finished and implemented, as I may have said before, but now Mia's story is also finished and in the process of being implemented. Not sure how that happened, but it looks like we're magically on track for another release this Saturday, December 13th.

Today also marks two months from the first (second, technically) release, and I'd say things are going pretty statistically well. Like, we didn't explode out the gate with 10k members and sick guitar riffs, but the growth and ratio of paid and free members (50/50, amazingly) is something that not too many first-time creators are experiencing right now, so I'm pretty appreciative of that.

I try to make sure I'm tending to both free and paid members, as frankly I appreciate anyone willing to take time out of their day to play the game, so if you haven't subscribed, don't feel pressured to, as news, updates, and random renders will come your way too, I just can't post anything NSFW unless it's behind a paywall.

As far as the state of the game itself, I definitely feel like it's in a better place than it was at v0.1. In fact, the next update after this one, v0.3.4, will be dedicated to fixing the remaining issues I have with the game...so far. I shared this with paid members a few weeks ago.

So here's what I'm thinking (I'm putting emphasis on 'thinking' because none of this is guaranteed):

  1. Having certain items in your inventory may trigger a one-time mini-event with one of the characters you've met in the game so far. This could be main girls or side characters like Brother Douglas.
    1. After seeing the event once, future instances of that event will be like a line of dialogue or two.
  2. I want to update the navigation for the daily screens. Kind of like a UI overhaul. For instance, instead of having the menu options, having icons of the character's faces that effectively do the same thing. Just a bit of flavor. This is done already, you'll see in the next update.
  3. Right now, there's nothing to really do with the girls aside from using their stores. I'd like to add a little dialogue button where you can ask them questions or they'll cycle through responses based on where you are in the story and what your decisions are so far.
  4. There's actually a "Store Rank" in game, but it doesn't do anything. I'd like the store rank to be based on total revenue as well as the faction rank of the girls, then have that tied to unlocking the next major story.
    1. This will allow me to write main story content with the guarantee that you've already seen faction content. So for instance, I could have Reina make a brief appearance without anyone saying "who the fuck is that?"
    2. So for instance, Ch1Pt2 will have Shop Rank 2 as a requirement to begin the story. Shop Rank 2 will require having all factions at Rank 2, and like 20k gold in lifetime revenue or something.
  5. Variables did more in the prologue than they do currently, and the longer I spend not addressing it, the less I have the time to. For now, I want to tie all H-scenes to seen/unseen boolean variables (True/False). That way I can have little flavor dialogue like "The last time you had a J.O. sesh with Balae was great" without, once again, anyone saying "when the fuck did that happen?"

  • Adventurer's Guild Rank 2 Faction Quest
    • Join Ashura and a new unlucky companion, Mimi, on a quest to the Ancient Caverns so you can finally upgrade your rank in the guild!
      • Rank 2 unlocks rank 2 expeditions, allows 2 expeditions per day, and all rank 1 expeditions will always be successful.
  • Research Laboratory Rank 2 Faction Quest
    • Word on the street is that an auditor is being from the Council of Commerce to determine the lab's funding. Help Nicole scramble to create a new invention to impress Sherry, a Council employee!
      • Rank 2 unlocks rank 2 inventions (oh shit there's only 1) and reduces the price of producing and buying rank 1 inventions.
  • Updated UI to use a grid profile-based display.
  • Added Mia's Dojo so you don't have to grind it on the same day as v0.3.3 update.
  • Added Wisp's Null Realm, where you'll eventually be able to replay events in the gallery and play through bonus scenes like the collab scenario with Sethi from Fantasy Futanari
  • Removed the random 3 haggle events, which were always meant to be placeholders, but pissed me off while trying to test the new UI.
    • This'll be replaced by mini-events with characters you've met so far in the v0.3.4 update.
  • Converted all images to webp and all music to ogg for a pretty insane filesize reduction.
  • Probably broke something somewhere

loading old saves seems to remove the expedition option for me. A new safe works fine.
i can watch the rank event over the ranks tab but cant safe during it and trying to go back throws me back to before watching it. completing it that way does not increase the rank tho.
Holy shit it removes all expeditions? Or is Ashura's icon not showing up in the UI? The icons are based on having met the character (and the mark_character_seen function actually working), so if the icon isn't there at all, check the profiles in your ledger for whether Ashura's profile is there at all.

Faction quest completion is in the script itself, regardless of where you actually initiate the rank quest from, using another function, complete_rank_event, but that bug where saving takes you back to the start is going to be the death of me, because I can't replicate it on my end after the first time I thought I fixed it.

I've really been trying to make saves compatible in each version but kind of shitting the bed atm.

Saves worked fine for me, no issues there. But I did get that bug again where if you right click during the faction event, it takes you back to the shop. Then you have to restart the event over again.

But overall, enjoyed the update. Got some Ashura content and even Nicole. Mimi, the cursed Rogue, was absolutely adorable lol. Had some good chuckles from that. And we finally get to start working in the Dojo with Mia. So, yeah, nice update.

I do like the new UI changes, though at times, I do get missing images on the icons. When I load/reload, they show up again, but after a while, they just disappear and I get missing image text instead of the actual image. Can still click on them though just fine, so it's not a huge bother. Just a heads up is all.

But yeah, thanks for the update! ;)

Its just the icon for expedition and true enough, she is not in profiles but i already have affinity with her.

Ah damn that means your save is from before I added that function. Or rather, your save was already past the point where I inserted the function for meeting Ashura, but not anyone else. If you wanted to fix it, you'd need to decompile the scripts with unren or something, go to characters.rpy, go to like line 31 under Ashura's profile key, and create a new entry in the dict by inserting "seen": True.

Massive pain in the ass, I know, so the simpler solution really is just having a new save, since there's probably a whole host of other issues with saves from that long ago.
