So Rat's story is fully finished and implemented, as I may have said before, but now Mia's story is also finished and in the process of being implemented. Not sure how that happened, but it looks like we're magically on track for another release this
Saturday, December 13th.
Today also marks two months from the first (second, technically) release, and I'd say things are going pretty statistically well. Like, we didn't explode out the gate with 10k members and sick guitar riffs, but the growth and ratio of paid and free members (50/50, amazingly) is something that not too many first-time creators are experiencing right now, so I'm pretty appreciative of that.
I try to make sure I'm tending to both free and paid members, as frankly I appreciate anyone willing to take time out of their day to play the game, so if you haven't subscribed, don't feel pressured to, as news, updates, and random renders will come your way too, I just can't post anything NSFW unless it's behind a paywall.
As far as the state of the game itself, I definitely feel like it's in a better place than it was at v0.1. In fact, the next update after this one, v0.3.4, will be dedicated to fixing the remaining issues I have with the game...so far. I shared this with paid members a few weeks ago.
So here's what I'm
thinking (I'm putting emphasis on 'thinking' because none of this is guaranteed):
- Having certain items in your inventory may trigger a one-time mini-event with one of the characters you've met in the game so far. This could be main girls or side characters like Brother Douglas.
- After seeing the event once, future instances of that event will be like a line of dialogue or two.
I want to update the navigation for the daily screens. Kind of like a UI overhaul. For instance, instead of having the menu options, having icons of the character's faces that effectively do the same thing. Just a bit of flavor. This is done already, you'll see in the next update.
- Right now, there's nothing to really do with the girls aside from using their stores. I'd like to add a little dialogue button where you can ask them questions or they'll cycle through responses based on where you are in the story and what your decisions are so far.
- There's actually a "Store Rank" in game, but it doesn't do anything. I'd like the store rank to be based on total revenue as well as the faction rank of the girls, then have that tied to unlocking the next major story.
- This will allow me to write main story content with the guarantee that you've already seen faction content. So for instance, I could have Reina make a brief appearance without anyone saying "who the fuck is that?"
- So for instance, Ch1Pt2 will have Shop Rank 2 as a requirement to begin the story. Shop Rank 2 will require having all factions at Rank 2, and like 20k gold in lifetime revenue or something.
- Variables did more in the prologue than they do currently, and the longer I spend not addressing it, the less I have the time to. For now, I want to tie all H-scenes to seen/unseen boolean variables (True/False). That way I can have little flavor dialogue like "The last time you had a J.O. sesh with Balae was great" without, once again, anyone saying "when the fuck did that happen?"
