I somewhat agree, and you do present an interesting perspective on "redundant" characters... especially considering there is one more male character for Sarah yet to be introduced. The phrase "butter scraped over too much bread" sums up my impression of this game. Currently two playable main characters with over 10 additional love interests for a total of 13 characters. Distributing these towards 4 paths leading up to 9 outcomes further adds to my skepticism regarding how this can be pulled off realistically.
James and Rachel seem a redundant pair, when Erik and Jessica are already established as the friendly swinger pair.
Eva and Abigail are both manipulative coworkers, trying to seduce Alex, influenced by Neil.
Didn't check out the John and Amy content, maybe whatever is planned for them can be given to Vincent and Emma.
By assimilating/combining characters, each main character "only" has three additional love interests (one baddy, one neutral, one kind), more than enough. It would reduce the number of characters required to write, design and code scenes for and flesh out the remaining characters, since they get the removed characters content.
Sarah: Neil, Erik/James, John/Vincent
Alex: Eva/Abigail, Jessica/Rachel, Emma/Amy
All I can say is I'm glad Mr Fable is the dev and not you! Two plus ten equals thirteen aside, I don't think there are too many characters, or that any are redundant - it's too early to make such a claim but even so, everyone is a bit different and bringing different opportunities to the main couple in the future. The phrase "butter scraped over too much bread" sums up my impression of this game. Bro u are reading my mind,he playing ORS I didn’t see him saying there is too much characters. No I don’t see redundant character.Eva was naive to give Neil a way to blackmail her.On other hand Abi is full aware of what kind of men is Neil. All I can say is I'm glad Mr Fable is the dev and not you! Man U repeat u yourself,u already did the same post a few months ago.The answer still the same the dev even plan to add more characters. The phrase "butter scraped over too much bread" sums up my impression of this game. Can you honestly explain to me how you guys plan on satisfying every fan of game, by updating every possible path inside the game, with every update? Or was that never planned after the game reaches a certain point?I am introducing 3 more in next release![]()
Rather than doomposting, why not just let the dev work and answer us with each new release? We're several updates in at the moment and there hasn't been anything to suggest a problem. I think the dev has earned a bit of trust, so why not just enjoy what you're getting every six-ish weeks instead of looking for problems that aren't there yet, and might never be?Can you honestly explain to me how you guys plan on satisfying every fan of game, by updating every possible path inside the game, with every update? I don't see how you can keep producing updates within the 1.5 month deadline that contain content with all possible combinations (of all possible characters + all paths possible)
Is this project eventually going to turn into 0.5 NTS update vs 0.5 NTR update bonanza?
I am not making fun you, Mr. Fable, this is a genuine question I would like answered.
*singing off-key*Pretty much no game (even something that updates every year or more, like BaDIK) has progress with every possible combination of character and path in every update, so I don't think that's a standard you should be looking for here anyway.
Ah, yes, it’s considered doomposting to ask genuine questions about the future development of the game.Rather than doomposting, why not just let the dev work and answer us with each new release? Doomposting in the sense that you appear to be just waiting for the game to fail. It might not be your intention, but that's how it comes across. If there's no indication of a struggle at the moment, why ask the dev when he's going to start struggling? Ask the question when you start seeing problems maybe, rather than inventing their possibility where they don't currently exist.Ah, yes, it’s considered doomposting to ask genuine questions about the future development of the game.
This game is going to have 6+ different subpaths available, with 10+ different characters involved at any one time - something has to give. Mr Fable isn’t a magician.
At the beginning yes every path have about equal amount of content but as paths diverge one update can have more content in a particular path than the others. Also every character will not appear on every path. And I have been open about this from the start, the update time of 1.5month will increase as the content increases. What i promised is 300-350 renders every 1.5 months. So maybe 1 year from now I might need 500 renders to tell a decent update in all paths. Then the update time can increase with the content. Can you honestly explain to me how you guys plan on satisfying every fan of game, by updating every possible path inside the game, with every update? Thank you for answering instead belittling me like that self-proclaimed proofreader did. As long as you’re honest & upfront about the fact that the updates will start taking longer & will feature only certain paths, that’s fine and well within your perogative. At the beginning yes every path have about equal amount of content but as paths diverge one update can have more content in a particular path than the others. This is the interesting part. I wonder which characters are path specific and to what path. I hope my couple favs are on the route I care about most, and I can work towards maybe my ideal ending of making a full time throuple or something like we discussed in dms when I gave idea. Also every character will not appear on every path.
