I truly believed that after all this time, most of us had developed a greater sense of maturity and fairness.

I understand that this is a pirate forum, but we must still consider both sides of the issue. If we cannot exercise even a minimal amount of restraint and wait a few days before receiving an update for free, we are ultimately undermining the very source that benefits us all. Mr. Fable has shown nothing but fairness and generosity toward this community.....from patiently answering the most basic and sometimes stupid questions to consistently providing the latest updates. The least we can do is extend him the same respect and patience by refraining from immediately leaking new releases.

Respect is not a one-way street.

If this pattern continues, there will come a day when no updates are provided at all. Let us be honest: no one enjoys working for free indefinitely. He would not be the first developer whose efforts have been destroyed by such behavior.

I understand the sentiment some are conveying but I would say don't worry too much about 'when' something leaks. The folks who want to support via Patreon will support. I'm on several games' Patreon myself that I only learned of after checking out on F95.

If the game stays good and eventually launches on Steam, I'll be happy to buy it to support there as well. May even jump on this Devs' Patreon once I see if the adult content is something I want more of. Many Patreon supporters start @ F95. Fable is doing a great job maintaining good community interaction. Nothing to be concerned about, IMO.

still doesn’t make it more "right",I dunno how u would feel if someone appropriate your work and give it to your boss.

What the point of leaking updates?he will get some heart but 5 min people will forget about the pirate.

Eh, I don't see the point in debating "right" on a pirate site. It's going to leak. The when doesn't matter. This place is a 24/7 advertisement area for Patreon and Steam. If I was a dev, I'd be like Mr Fable and be on here being friendly to people and answering questions - it's good customer relations. Many Patreon contributors come from F95 and will also support on digital storefronts as well.

We all benefit here from people leaking things as a way of paying it forward to a place that they have benefited from as well. I will always express appreciation to those willing to do so. It's a win for everyone here and those who like the product enough to support via Patreon or buy on a digital storefront will do so because they understand the consumer angle of it and support as a way of saying "I like this - please make more of this type of product".

Are you serious right now ?
Why are you trying to create a moral high ground in a place like this ?

Jeezus, i understand where you come from, but isn't your whole argument just a Oxymoron regarding where you posted it ?

No, you very clearly don't. It's also not as destructive or an end-of-the-world scenario as you're framing it as. If people want to support then they already are doing so or will do so eventually while the other half will just wait for a "hero" to show up. It's also just goofy to try to take a moral standing on what you yourself acknowledge is a PIRATE FORUM. Is it a good thing? No, not really. But it's also not some tragic "the game is going to DIE and the dev is gonna STARVE to death now" thing. Sometimes people leak early, other times they don't. Shit happens. It doesn't mean the game will suddenly make zero earnings.

If a little moral high ground offends you on a pirate forum, that s not me creating the contradiction...:)

Yes, we re all thieves here. The difference is some of us are self aware thieves who d rather not saw off the hand that keeps feeding us for free. Call it enlightened self-interest… or in other words "not shitting where we eat."

But by all means, keep speed-running the "kill the golden goose" achievement. I ll be over here with the patient adults, enjoying updates while they still exist. No offence. :)

Dude, do you realize that this is not the problem for a long time? There are plenty of people willing to pay for content, including here. Do you know what's stopping you? "External factors". I would gladly shower the author with money through a subscription, but now from my hole I can only pay with crypto, and then through a shit ton of problems. I would gladly take the alternative route and pay him for the game on Steam, but there is no early access for such games anymore. If he divides the game into seasons and asks for 20-40 bucks for each, I will buy it, I like his game.

There are still enough people who can subscribe and do this AFTER visiting such forums, because they liked the game and want the author to finish it.

I like the premise and approve of it. There are just a lot of things that prevent it from being implemented. The person who uploaded the update asked to subscribe if you can and you like the game. That's enough in places like this.

And Mr Fable, are you thinking about releasing it on major platforms? Steam or maybe GOG. Your game doesn’t have what payment systems and other crazy people are now complaining about, but I, and I think a couple of other people, would be happy to pay you for your work.

He can express it, there is nothing wrong with that.

Oh don't worry, but i won't be offended by the fact that we pirates will enjoy that juicy new content when it drops either way.

Eating up a hand that is feeding you doesn't make sense to me in this case, cause a new game update will be released here anyway, that's exactly what this forum is about. :WeSmart:

You ain't paying shit but you are able to play the newest game update anyway ...
Just leave the morality at the backdoor, otherwise you shouldn't even have an account here.

Devs have said straight out leaking updates early hurts their chances of getting that usual boost of subs new updates bring. Let's not act like it doesn't hurt the dev.

Anyway I loved the update. The writing especially is amazing.
