Without knowing what the update contains, we can conclude that there were bugs the dev found after the major update release that the dev expeditiously worked on to correct.
This is generally true and would be true about this dev if he didn't have a history of simply waiting till the next release to fix major bugs. They typically have to be game breaking for him to release a hotfix. Not saying that's not the case here, just saying its odd that nothing really seemed broken yet he released a hotfix that didn't seem to change anything. It doesn't fit his standard MO which makes it a bit odd.

I changed some of the control inputs from the defaults, including for sprint and player movement directions. Player movement works fine but now sprint doesn't work. It worked before the change so tried changing it back to default and it still doesn't work. Anyone have the same problem? if so, can you share a fix?
EDIT: Discovered an answer. Sprint works with "W" as forward but not with "up key" as forward even if the sprint command key is changed.

You can try going into your save directory and deleting the file EnhancedInputUserSettings.sav

I've not seen this happen before but deleting that file will wipe your custom inputs and revert everything back to default. Or should anyway.

Yea it happens to everyone. Its a bug. It seems to happen when there are other monsters around. If you find Trolls and Ogres mostly alone they seem to spawn normally.

No, you don't need to start over again. You press "new game" to start the character creation process and make your character how you want it then save it as a preset. Then just back out to main menu and reload your current save. From that point you press "/" on your numberpad to access the cheat menu where you can load a saved preset.

If you notice the right side of the screen when in building mode there are instructions. Pressing "O" toggles snap mode on and off. Holding shift while scrolling will raise/lower your item to a desired level.

Snapping isn't all that great in this game, but its better than it used to be at least. I used to have to place most things manually at first to get it where I wanted then other things could snap to it like the placement of a wall needed the first one in a correct spot then the rest could snap to it.

Hey form

I would disagree with this statement and I am basing this information off of raw update data

Go here to see the full list of updates:

Here we can see that the amount of hotfixes/small updates have been very constant/consistent, especially for the month of August. This might be a trend for the foreseeable future, however, we will not know as only time will tell.

It certainly would be nice. Its looks as though when the game was released on Steam he started rolling out these hotfixes. I would love to see this as the new trend. It would be extra nice if he would add a brief changelog with them describing what was fixed or changed.

I still have no idea what the last hotfix was for tho, but I do know that it certainly wasn't to fix parry skill. I think I'm the only one butthurt about that being broken for so long.

given the importance he was giving to getting on Steam (and then the early sales rate he had at least it seems) I'd guess change in MO is probably an early "gotta make the Steam result good"
Whether he sustains that is a question (I'd doubt it, but not put out greatly either way since current version seems reasonably stable - if I compare to even 2nd half of 2024 versions)

Although I have known one can do that - never tried - a question does the replacement pre-set pull in the game status at last save like cumflation or breast? Just curiousity.

Re Snapping yes, rather improved from past - I also did almost everything manually in past rather than in snap, but right now in taking my favored "Old Save" and rebuilding my lair, snap is proving much more useful than in past. not great but far better behaviour than in past.

Hey guys, do you know if my laptop will be able to run the game? I've seen the specifications on Steam, but I'm not sure if it will run smoothly.

My laptop has a Ryzen 5 7520u with integrated graphics, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD.

I think it can run it, but Steam says the minimum requirement is an RTX 3050. I'm not sure. What do you think guys?

No, it just loads the available parameters that the preset consists of when creating a character. Loading presets used to wipe an existing visual modification like cumflation, but I have no idea if it does anymore.
You can even use the Fleshmarker staff to apply presets to your slaves so its kinda fun to create some presets just for them. I have a few with tits as big as I could make for my milkers. It looks ridiculous so I called the preset "ridiculous tits".

Hard to tell, but I would guess yes. You might just need to turn down graphics settings a bit. My rig is approaching 10 years old and I've got CPU issues. I thought it was dying, but now I think I have old driver issues I cannot identify. Regardless, I can play it on medium settings and there are very few times my fans speed up. Usually quiet and temps stay really low. This game is surprisingly well optimized for a UE game. Couldn't hurt to try it at least. Just go to graphics settings and uncheck all the boxes first because most of that stuff is murder on weaker PCs. But who knows you may not even need to do that.

Is now a good time to jump into the game, or should I wait for more patches? I'm fine with some bugs, just not the kind that wipe my progress.

Well hard to predict but here are my observations (based on becoming regular since about Fall 24 [i.e. about a year] - prior to Fall 24 game was way too buggy and merited its low scores. Since about Nov24 it's been playable in my view)
  • Current stability: about the best it's ever been and I think fine. Since Sep Steam haven't been having crashes, saves seem generally stable - things like Dragon are now consistently usable it seems. Some weirdo items as noted, like in some circumstances Trolls, Ogres becoming floating eyes, and for some armor meshes your legs going invisible during sex....
  • Progress & Carryforward:I have two parallel saves I am using depending on my mood. One is a Steam Clean Start from August (after warning from Dev that prior wouldn't per se work) and one from 8.6.1 (so if I am not getting that wrong, Dec 24ish, pre-Steam, from here). For 8.6.1 in fact it continues to work well - I did have to reconstitue via cheat menu my equipment when coming into Steam version, but I knew that, had made note of what I wanted to "cheat-restore" and did so via the cheat menu no pain. so I have one ongoing that is all the way back to end 24 / early 25 (the save version prior to that however didn't work, so prior to 8.6.1 seemed buggered)
    • This build update partially wiped out buildings (and anything in non-food storage chests. As there is now a Free Build option in cheat, can restore wiped out (price to pay for the improved buildings, after using now while at first I saw no difference, I can say there's at least marginal improvement and at minimum for Wood and some Stone the models are more visually attractive, plus sizing seems more standardised so that things snap-fit better as noted here above - better is not perfect but still better. and the add-in stuff to decorate up one's abode is cool.
    • Although at first I was irritated to have to rebuild my lair for my 8.6.1 origin save, in fact now I am kind of pleased as original build under old 8.6.1 was messy, I have cleaned up. No big meaning to that but if you like the lair building it's fun
  • Character: so far for all-presets I did from 8.6.1 on everything has imported fine and ongoing saves no skills or similar wiped out / reset. I saw some people indicate tattooes screwed up but did not myself experience (and easy enough to redo on edit of the preset). The update pre-steam ( I think Sep/Oct? 24, forget now) what completely wiped character progress seems to be a think of the past.
So overall - and extent now to which the Dev seems to personally be very invested in the idea of Steam Success, seems like a reasonable moment - upgrades don't seem to any more utterly wipe out character progress and loot or equipment items the cheat-system allows you to restore easily

How to use milking station? I have everything needed but no respond when I craft. View attachment 5374338 View attachment 5374338
If I recall correctly now (From Steam versions on) one has to place the Required Items in the Loot section, that it doesn't pull from inventory.

There is inconsistency between crafting stations, some pull from inventory, some do not. Hopefully in future a Quality of Life upgrade will be done to make them all work in the same way just to avoid confusion / forgetting one works from inventory, another doesn't....

Last updates I suspect were for Steam environment saving (as I am in Steam itself thanks to having thrown subscription $$ Jan-July [after 8.6 series convinced me worth it) - as initially I was seeing crashes on saving (saving sometimes triggered a crash and exit which would sometimes wipe out built items) and that's gone away - plus save speed is now much faster and consistent. I think time period of this aligns with those hotfixes.

Sometimes, the horse doesn't respond when I press the mount button, and I can't recall it either. Restarting the game sometimes fixes it. Is that normal?
