Finding those portals are pretty damn easy at NIGHT, those things glow like nobodies business. But, during the day time they are not very noticeable at all.
That was how I found both of those portals, I was running around at night and saw 'glowing stuff' that had lit up the entire area, which made me say "Oooo, shiney. Let's go see what that is .... after I murder this night raid".

I was able to find that chest yesterday. I had finally set my mind to it and had traveled around to each and every demon statue, searched all around them, and finally stumbled into that chest.
I had been focusing on statues that were literally right next to the water and that demon tower is set back a fair ways from the water ... so, of course it was the very last statue I even thought about checking out.

I was able to find the other chest as well and ..... I blame the game for that one.
I had circled around that particular Drake tower 2 or 3 times and never saw the chest. But, I went back yesterday and started widening my search, murdering everything with reach and lo and behold, the chest materialized on the ground in front of me as I watched the cooling corpse of a freshly murdered bear do its impression of a fidget spinner.

So, the bloody thing didn't spawn until I got close to it and it fooled me, since I was expecting it to be spawned already and just waiting for me to notice it.

They are riddles and each parchment describes a location where you can find a chest with a single piece of armor. The parchments are for finding the various pieces of Legendary armor (heavy armor).

There is a second portal, with another boss, that drops another set of 4 tablets, that are the exact same idea as the parchments. They give this vague location for various pieces of the Consort armor (light armor).

NOTE: When you are very close to the location of one of the chests containing a Legendary or Consort armor piece, there will be this red wire frame 'globe' that will appear. That is the indication that you are very close to one of those pieces and it is located inside the area of that red wire frame area.

I don't think it's working correctly in my game. I went to the obvious location for Binding Touch, and there's nothing down there. I also went to the location mentioned in this thread for Enduring Flame, and there's nothing there as well.

The clues aren't very good, so I'm not sure where the rest would be. If you can give me one confirmed location for a parchment and one for a tablet, I can check for sure.

Do you have the parchment in your inventory? If you don't have them in your inventory the chests won't show up on the map.

I had all four of each in my inventory. I'm wondering if I glitched it out when I killed the boss guy a second time and dropped the extra tablets. I don't know of any sure locations for the parchments, so don't know if those are working as expected.

Sorry for not responding to your other messages, I was busy trying to set up a new machine and transferring crap over from my old machine to the new one.

I cannot remember what the pieces are, but I am positive that there are armor pieces to find in these two locations.

Also, just to be safe, bring all 8 pieces with you, the tablets and the parchments. It is always possible that for any particular piece to appear you need that specific parchment or tablet in your possession before it will appear.

Then why am I, with a potato, able to play just fine with medium settings for graphics? Why are so many others enjoying this update without exaggerated complaints like you? Perhaps your PC has problems you need to look into. Or maybe you're just doing it wrong. I'm willing to bet on the latter.
You probably weren't meant to play this game so why not just go climb a tree? That might be more your pace. Make it a tall one and strive to reach the top. That'll show all those nonbelievers that you have what it takes. And if you can't then its not your fault, you were just unequipped.
Or better yet, try basket weaving. I've rarely heard complaints about that sort of therapeutic labor. In fact some people find it so satisfying it becomes their new hobby. Do you need a hobby? Or do you need a hug? Maybe you could weave some baskets and then give them away to homeless people. Then you get a hobby and hugs.
I've got lots more ideas. I'm sure you can think of some yourself if you just give it a shot. Go ahead. What could go wrong?

Do you mean in the status menu to look at stats? (tab) - I believe that's a visual glitch and not actual.

We can assure you, no one here thinks formusual is stupid, plenty of contra evidence. Now immature ragers stomping their feet thinking they're making any impression than "childish and dim twit", that's another matter.

Note: formasual is probably better with this pet/servant stuff than I am. I normally use my pets as sperm donors and sex toys, then put them away wet, used, and unwashed.
With this update though, I have actually used and leveled up a servant (wereboar) and it is completely broken.

Short version: Servants were broken, shit was fixed. Suck it up and grind harder.

Without actually seeing the update in action, all I can do is make educated guesses based on the wording used. It really should be considered a positive, but only in context of correcting a faulty leveling system that let servants level up stupidly fast without any effort.

Basically, your servants should require more and more experience for each level, just like the MC does, at a more exponential rate instead of a steady predictable linear rate. If going from level 9 to level 10 required 9000 XP, then on a linear scale they would only need something like 10000 XP to go from 10 to 11, instead of needing something like 12,000 to go to level 11 and 14,500 to go to level 12 and so on and so forth.

Personally, I get the feeling that each level for a servant had gotten fat fingered to be something like 100 XP per level, no matter if they were level 1 or level 100. The latest patch probably fixed it so that they actually need "level * 100 XP" or something akin to that, instead of some fixed value or a silly low level such as "level + 100 XP".

Fixing things that are broken or unintended NOW, is better than letting an issue linger and compound into other problems at a later date.
It sucks for us in a 'no new stuff' kind of way but it means 'less buggy crap later', which is never a bad thing especially if you have people such as the person you are having a separate conversation with about whether the game is completely broken or just a few 'glitchy things' happening.

so whatever was fixed was not fixed, I have just inadvertantly achieved a 1000 lvl werewolf from wandering in evening looking to hook up with Stranger. Oddly enough the other 5 servants seem to level in new/normal manner (although of 6 now 4 are dead...)

Good question, I got 9 even though I feel like I explored 99% of the map. Can you give any pointers to the ones you already found?
Btw Could somebody post a pic of the map with most places discovered? Would be a good comparison for progression.

Although this wiki is essentially the pre-December build (Steam) it gets you about all info except latest changes.

its a lot easier to understand ... once you finish the old mans quests make a pick axe at the table
... there is copper in the valley at the first hill , you can mine and gather coal and make a furnace to smelt the ore into bronze the bronze you make nails from there you can make a cooking pot using the building plan ....

you can build a house and all kinds of stuff with the building plan

once you have your house and furnace etc ....gather more copper ore go to the village and sell it for cash to the black smith you can then buy iron ore and brimstone from him take it back to your furnace and make steel use the steel to make a sword the iron makes a axe and pick axe that are more durable than the stone ones

or if you dont want to waste time you can use the cheat menu / on the num pad and just find the stuff there

quests the fisherman .....the mayor in the village .....talk to Jacob at his farm get him to tell you about his sisters threaten to expose him he will give you the horse horn to call the horse you can ride .....the tower talk to isabelle the sorceress and do her quests ... note when you get knocked up by the were beasts and are ready to give birth do not give birth outside of the tower be inside the tower when you give birth.....

If someone played last updates can you "update" this guide on what to do after finishing the quest of the man near the sea?

Interesting.
I wonder if it is an issue of 'legacy' companions, in that, any pets you have from an earlier build/save are not affected by the changes.
It could, also, be that the werewolf is intentionally like that, where it can level up infinitely, since it is one of the weakest enemies in the game.

I honestly have no idea what is going on with the pets, I don't really use them that much. I tend to do things the hard way, mostly because I am stubborn like that and the pets get hung up on terrain a lot and end up just standing around while I am getting beat up on.

I have a single pet (wereboar) that is now level 160ish and it feels completely broken, since it can 1-shot pretty much everything in the game. I may try playing around some with more of the pets, I have charmed an Archdemon and a Reaper that I wouldn't mind seeing in action.

I am pretty sure that you have to have beaten those portal bosses before they will appear.

I only say that due to anecdotal information where I visited the church to pick up the collector card and I did not see the chest, but after I had beaten the bosses and returned to said church, the chest appeared.

Well, that sucks.
I don't know what to say for you about that. When I found the portals and went inside, the only issue I encountered was on the portal with the boss that drops the tablets. I summoned my pet and it spawned embedded halfway into the ground. Beyond that, everything worked perfectly fine.

Are you perhaps playing an old save from a previous build? Or did you start a new character with the new build? In the past it was best to wipe the save directory before starting a new build to ensure there were no conflicts with previous build data, but I think that has mostly been fixed. I still do it tho out partly out of habit partly from OCD.

I somewhat recall someone in discord talking about dropping one of the tablets and then not being able to find the corresponding chest after picking it back up. But I'm not sure where that went as I was looking for other info. Just that there could be a bug involved that we don't really know about yet. There are a lot of things to try, but if there is a bug it might be a lot of effort in vain.

Yeah, I encounter the same issue as you and need to use cheat to acquire those armor pieces. So, as the act to feel less guilty for using cheat, I beat the hell out of that Demon and Wizard like... 30 or 34 times
