I am guessing this is one of those monster breeding/pregnancy games where the FMC gives birth to the exact copy of the monster? No visual changes on the offspring to indicate it's half-human (a true hybrid)?
There's no real breeding system at this time. One gets a randomised offspring (werewolf, werebear, satyr, reaper whatever), that's not really tied into the parents at all (at one point I experimented with breeding and wasn't seeing coherent results, DMed the Dev and he confirmed no breeding system as yet in place [this pre Steam but it's not been touched as yet])

Would be logical add-in eventually.

Current Build Building wonder
For those of us who like building (yes it serves no direct game purpose after one has a safe space to sleep, but on other hand the Build skill does feed into overall stats...):
On reload of a Save: Now you get back your build materials from destroying / deconstructing something built in previous save. A small nice thing - as otherwise if you knocked down say a wooden wall, you needed to cheat back your wood.

Marginal perhaps for most people but showing signs that the Dev & his programmer support are slowly fixing / tightening up details.

Assist item: New Build's New Quests & Old Saves: anyone have experience on this? I am not sure if I just don't know how to trigger any new quest or whether the system revision buggered the old saves from a Quest progression PoV as I seem to be unable e.g. to trigger new Isabel despite re-running her quests
(known issue as I saw reported in Discord, the new build buggered up the Quests for old Saves (old progress including for post-Steam launch) so e.g. to get my dragon to talk to me again, I had to redo the quest [I saw in Discord mention of completely deleting the quest progress file but I simply reran the quest, got my dragon back but maybe need to utterly delete Quest progress...])

A game marketing a breeding mechanic that isn't being actively developed? Swell.

The Vanguard boots (previously Royal) aren't fucked up anymore. Now they look like they were always supposed to. And they stay that way.

I'm sure most of the other sets are fine too and I haven't seen any of the old issues so far, but this has been one of the few thorns in my side for while now. This update keeps impressing me.
Yeah clothes, armor all seem to largely be operating correctly (at least for generally normal human proportions which I think is reasonable, if it breaks down for mega-sizes, can't criticise)

I killed a couple of bosses and I got 4 Parchments and 4 Tablets. Any idea what to do with them?

Each one has a clue to an armor piece found in the map. The one you have posted is an easy one to find. I sorta struggled with two of them, but eventually found them.

If you noticed the place you found these there was a "magical altar". That should tell you what these clues lead to.

That's not true at all.

Most things are functioning pretty well. Crafting, combat, sex anims I tried so far. Although if one has an old save you need to redo the Quests (which isn't terrible per se)

dump on the game for real buginess sure. Nothing working however is just flat out false.

I don't have a former save, i started a brand new one! And guess what? You can't even finish the tutorial quests from the fisherman without having to reload a save so the quest objectives update properly, so... I crafted the forest bread, and the quest just wont update, unless i save, and reload, THEN the quest updates... questing isn't working the way it should!

Status effects sometimes don't appear when they should, and soemtimes don't disappear when they should, unless you save, and reload... So that isn't working the way it should!

The combat is so clunky and awkward, it's nearly impossible to hit enemies, especially when they're running away from you, not to mention the enemy pathfinding is jittery an indecisive as all hell, so they constantly swerve around, making the problem even worse, so combat isn't working the way it should!

The sex animations constantly bug out, so that isn't working the way it should either!

And the creatures you've tamed, are sometimes paralyzed by their pathfinding indecision, that 30% of the time, they can't do anything useful in combat... This is even worse for your human slaves, whom CAN NOT MOVE 90% of the time, because of the pathfinding indecision, so the pet system isn't working the way it should either!

So naturally, since the combat isn't working the way it should, it's way harder for you to obtain the appropriate materials needed to craft stuff, so crafting progression isn't working the way it should either, nor is leveling!

Commenting on anything further than this, we're stepping into territory of where the game's literally unfinished, thus, not working as it's meant to, by default, so...

NO, nothing in this game, is working the way it should! I meant what i said, and i stand by it!

well it is working - you can get pregnant, have monster babies and raise monster babies to be your servants.

What is not in game - and not pretended to be in game is a breeding for traits progression mechanic. It would be interesting to have but it's not in game, not claimed to be in game. but I would say is logical addition.

Correcting myself: Build recoup partially working, seems to recoup though from last or very recent save, older stuff built maybe more than 1 or 2 saves doesn't come back it seems (seems not entirely sure here).

well... I guess different expectations. Nothing is working as you'd like it, okay. Things are working but not up to your standard is a take certainly.

how to add custom paintings in wicked island?
There is one paitning in the build menu (decorations - where the other paintings are) - it's the only one not showing clearly a sex scene. If you place it, it seems to give option to upload an image. I have not actually tried that yet.

paste any picture file in the "canvas" folder in your save directory. When you build the picture frame you can then select it and it will open a menu for you to choose the picture files you pasted in the canvas folder. It also gives you the option to choose between 3 aspect ratios. Seems to work with anything I've tried so far.

EDIT: I should add that the accepted formats for picture files are .jpg .png and .gif. These work similarly to the presets so name them so you'll know what is what. If you didn't catch that, i said GIF. You can actually load a gif file and watch some looped porn on your wall while its raining outside at your base.

Then why am I, with a potato, able to play just fine with medium settings for graphics? Why are so many others enjoying this update without exaggerated complaints like you? Perhaps your PC has problems you need to look into. Or maybe you're just doing it wrong. I'm willing to bet on the latter.
You probably weren't meant to play this game so why not just go climb a tree? That might be more your pace. Make it a tall one and strive to reach the top. That'll show all those nonbelievers that you have what it takes. And if you can't then its not your fault, you were just unequipped.
Or better yet, try basket weaving. I've rarely heard complaints about that sort of therapeutic labor. In fact some people find it so satisfying it becomes their new hobby. Do you need a hobby? Or do you need a hug? Maybe you could weave some baskets and then give them away to homeless people. Then you get a hobby and hugs.
I've got lots more ideas. I'm sure you can think of some yourself if you just give it a shot. Go ahead. What could go wrong?

Does anyone know where these two items can be found? I have found the other six and they weren't that difficult to find (eventually), but these two have me stumped.
riddles.png
For the Relentless March, my assumption was that the scorched tower was one of the Drake towers in the desert, but I cannot seem to find any chests around those towers. I have also cruised around the island looking for any 'scorched/burnt' towers just chilling on the island, but I cannot really see anything.
For the Enduring Flame, I am assuming it is related to the Demon Statues and I have checked around all the ones near the water and the two in the center of the map, where the big blotch of dark brown stones are (assuming that the black waves were referencing the coal deposits there). It mentions a forgotten idol, but I don't recall seeing any random statues/idols around the island.

No, what you just did is a fallacy called "moving the Goalpost".

You are simply wrong, eat :poop: !:ROFLMAO:
Well... No what I did was clarify - and you then moved a goal post to "things that you don't like the way it works' which is different from "nothing works" - (which would have been something quite technically correct in the circa 8.3-8.4 versions where lots of things plain didn't work right).
But hey, Game is not to your liking and you don't like combat, etc. valid views, bang away, fine by me, and be immature lashing out as much as you want, boring but hey

Then why am I, with a potato, able to play just fine with medium settings for graphics? Why are so many others enjoying this update without exaggerated complaints like you? Perhaps your PC has problems you need to look into. Or maybe you're just doing it wrong. I'm willing to bet on the latter.

Dunno some people are immature and need to lash out.

In any case, perfectly valid not to like the game, even combat (as a Slut path player I minimise it myself), but have to object to "nothing works" as deceptive to others, versus "clunky mechanic" or founded critique which is fine.

Huh, interesting....

Saving building builds. Wonder how that will work in practice

Servant XP Tweak: hmmm I am not sure if this is a positive or a negative. I believe one of our Leveling Masters (Mr Bipto?) must report in
Crap - missed this "Fixed" Servants levelling up at silly levels
Goddamn it, the only thing that made servants useful was leveling up to silly levels...... (not only thing but still)

Why the Dev is focusing on this stuff and not more fundamental is a minor point of irritation with him.

paste any picture file in the "canvas" folder in your save directory. When you build the picture frame you can then select it and it will open a menu for you to choose the picture files you pasted in the canvas folder. GIF as looped porn all art... mmmm -must try.

So wall like to snap to side of the foundations not on top lovely.
Actually building now works much much better across all of the forms, wood, stone, since the build update in October - and with Free Build (in control menu / cheat menu turn on /off build cost) one can indulge in no-grind side projects building.
