That's why it's making so difficult to construct here a harem route. The MC dating all of them will raise a gargantuan cat fight.
Watch Lopa make the ultimate chad move and have MC confide in the girls about his feelings towards them. Tho doubt that will happend anytime soon. My guess is that the MC will pursue relationships after 2 more chapters give or take.

It's still to early in the game to start a relationship espescially when he's getting the team together. And chapter 3 will be a Fiona chapter so i doubt any relationship will blossom.

Given that 3/5 of these girls are powder kegs just begging to go off, I'm a little nervous for when they inevitably find out about each other.
This is a common worry but very easily solvable. For those who strongly think harem is not going to work in their headspace, they are given the choice to not initiate harem and focus on individual paths.

For those who do want harem but still worried about the logic, they should consider that the premise of this game is very different than most other harem games. In most other games, the girls are often individuals where their relationship is just with the MC. In here, the girls will become teammates working with each other to achieve their common goal of winning the championships. The game already told us from the start that the team will be successful, so we know that the girls will become great teammates that can work together. While this obviously can still mean fiery relationship to begin with as the team start, it is also easy to accept that their relationship with each other would continue to improve. As their relationships get better and better, it isn't a huge leap to go to harem path.

We should also consider that so far, MC isn't the one being the horndog actively wanting to bang all the girls. So the existing individual relationships are already stronger than normal.

Are you sure you heard about winning the championship? Did Zoe say anything about it? I think the director made it clear from the beginning that it would be an achievement if this hastily assembled team made it to the competition at all (MC wouldn't get fired). I don't think we're going to have an American fairy tale where a bunch of underdogs make it to the final and win, I doubt we'll get that result. There are a lot of echoes of the anime Haikyu in this game so maybe it will be an interesting journey that gets interrupted somewhere around the semifinals. Otherwise, what kind of competition is it if rookies beat strong teams?

Although I'm getting carried away, maybe we won't have a volleyball anime game at all just a couple of interesting matches and further emphasis on developing relationships with girls.

OH YOU KNOW IT :ROFLMAO: Nah but fr, i can't wait to give Fiona headpats and see her turn into a tomato while MC keeps eye contact with her while he's lowering her head slowly down to his erect member.

I'll tell you straight up, nothing and i mean nothing, beats full on romantic passionate intense lovemaking. Not "fucking" but lovemaking. Full on drenched in sweat exploring every inch of each others bodies. Taking in the scents of every area and ofcourse lastly. Eyes rolling back, i rest my case.
Oh, the last romantic!! How nice . But I warn you: Fiona is the story's Ozzy Osbourne. She eats rusty nails for breakfast and bites off bats' heads!

Yeah there was a line about wanting to win the championship somewhere in the second chapter iirc. Now that you point it out, a parallel to Haikyuu where they upset a couple of the biggest teams (Women Dragons team maybe?) but don't quite make it all the way seems pretty fitting for what's been established so far. I'm just so excited to see where this goes when it does get there

Sorry if I was a bit unclear before, I reread what I wrote and I can understand the confusion. When I said that the team will be successful, I didn't necessarily mean that we know they will win the championships. What I meant is that they will become strong.

The people who worry about harem focused on how the girls will fight with each other because of their strong personalities. If they were fighting each other, the team wouldn't work. But the fact that the team will become the best and strongest iteration of the Wild Cats showed that the players will work together which means we know that they will have good relationship with each other. Hence, not a big leap to accept that good relationship between players can lead to a much smoother road to harem.

Otherwise, what kind of competition is it if rookies beat strong teams?
To be fair, they aren't all beginners. Zoe and Bianca actively practiced with the city team while Fiona and Lexi are among the best players in high school. That's a fairly strong core to start the team with. We don't know who else would join the team and what skill level they have either. Maybe Saki's sister will join the team somehow as their relationship got better. Maybe Lexi's roommate is a volleyball player too (if she was the one who put Lexi's name on the team). Maybe there were a few decent players from the previous team that could've improved under MC's guidance.

Also, we don't know how strong the other teams are and we don't know what kind of format the championship is. Upsets do happen in competitive sports.

Although I'm getting carried away, maybe we won't have a volleyball anime game at all just a couple of interesting matches and further emphasis on developing relationships with girls.
This is a porn game after all. I personally don't expect to have a full road to the championship kind of story. I expect more focus on character development and relationships through the volleyball setting. That's just my opinion.

visually everything looks pretty good but as a story plot and character design for each one its not exactly a great story. the guy starts off with the worst possible beginning and a trauma to start with, has a bunch of girls he has to coach who are ?problematic" and while his temper flares are bad they aren't un-justifiable in any way at all. the first girl while nice is a tease and is fucking with him constantly. she can see he is getting mad and she still pushes but then when he finally snaps she tosses it back at him and he is forced to go and apologize for a scenario she created. the rest of the girls are pretty much...garbage? with Lexi being one of the somewhat better ones purely because she actually didn't start shit with him but she did bail on him even though she already knows how important it is. the only actually redeemable one there i think is Desiree. that's it.

i know a lot of devs and writers seem to constantly want to use that kind of trope but seriously most of us are tired of that kind of story where the guy has to beg and plead to get shit done with woman like this. having a somewhat "Broken" male protag isn't that bad and i actually like that type quite a bit. but he's a lil TOO "Broken". where he is literally at the whim of all these POWERFUL FEMALE WOMAN. its just tiresome. for MONTH's or possibly as of now more than a Year i've been trying to find a good story where there is a dev who is going to stop feeding this kind of irritating story trope and as of yet there is still only a very few that has. The story had promise but the execution and the characters are really what is kind of destroying this game...

Bro thats just in your own head.

These are just some girls who are for different reasons not really in the mood to play in the volleyball team despite someone they doesnt know needs them to play ... not POWERFUL FEMALE WOMEN ...

This just reeks of insecurity bro

Always find it interesting that some people can form opinion by not understanding what's happening in the game at all.

Hey, guys! Time for the end-of-month dev log. I hope the new year's been treating you well. I, so far, have been doing great. Just got a little busy with work, these past few weeks as January is one of our busiest seasons in our office.

Progress report:

  • 2.8k words
  • 154 images
  • 1 animation
Nothing much to say right now, but you can count that these numbers will ramp up in the next following days as work in my day job is starting to calm down. I'm already excited to work on the next following scenes too. It's still a little too early to give an estimated release date, so I'll hold off on that one, but one thing I'll say, though, is, I've prepared a wild ride for you all in chapter 3 ;).

I was able to upgrade yet again and was able to further improve the quality of my renders. See the image above for what you can expect moving forward. I'm still experimenting with it, but I'm really happy with how the art is turning out so far. First batch of sneak peeks are probably gonna come out either late February or early March.

Lastly, I want to thank you all again for supporting the game. You guys are the reason why Wild Cats is going strong as ever. I really appreciate you, and I wish you all a nice February!

Regards,
LopaPhi
