Because Johan was supposed to meet Fiona that same day and we didn't know when the next bus would come after that. The trip there and back takes about 4 hours, and if he had come with us to Desi's parents' house, it would have taken another 3-4 hours. That would have meant a total of 11-12 hours. Besides, Johan didn't know that the meeting place was a biker club and whether Fiona would be willing to wait for him for that long. And even if he had known what the meeting place was, he would have had no guarantee that Fiona would have had time to talk to him at length due to the crowds.

And last but not least, it makes sense to focus his attention on one thing at a time, so he can concentrate on the Fiona thing on that day and get to know Desi's family in peace on another day.

He HAD to "hop right back onto the bus" because he had a very important appointment with Fiona in his home town at "The Tiger's Den" in the same late afternoon. Job (Volleyball coach) goes before fun (Dessie), it is that simple.

I am not criticising the character's actions here. What I'm saying is that the appointment could have been at literally any other time to make immediate trip back less awkward in the story, the writer is entirely in control of what's going on here.

And before someone decides to escalate this or whatever, this is not a big criticism, just a somewhat minor gripe.

That is Why She and Zoe are the best. Every girl bring out an emotion out of you, Eve for example you want to hugh her, pat her head, be nice toward her, protect her, etc.

Zoe and Saki, however, brings out multiple feelings/emotions out of you. in One second, you want to strangle them , in another, cuddle them, and in another you want to spank their ass and . . . . .
yeah, I leave that to your imagination, what kind of things I want to do with them :devilish::devilish::devilish:

At the moment

Zoe => Fiona >> Saki >> Lexi >> Eve = Desiree

With Zoe and Fiona essentially almost the same, just a hair ahead Zoe because first chapter Zoe angry scene is pure perfection.

After the new update my "favorites" -- Top-5-ranking -- are now:
1. Lexi (just gorgeous, nothing more to say)
2. Zoe (turns step by step from spoiled "daddy's darling"-brat to a surprisingly nice girl)
3. Desiree (an immaculate sweetheart, in case you do not dislike very tall and/or black girls)
4. Fiona (could be a real surprise if she converts from bitchy beast to an upright young lady with some punk attitude and scratches on her soul)
5. Bianca (Zoe's "watch dog", remains to be seen, seems to me a real "good one")
