MC never used the deal with the dean to guilt-trip anyone into joining the team. Eve still has no idea about the deal, yet she joined the team anyway. Zoe only learned about it after she was already on the team. And the reason MC told Desiree was because she specifically wanted information about him — not to make her feel pity or force her into joining.
