That's kind of a brain dead sentiment though, that learning English is necessary to play games internationally. Games are made in English to appeal to the widest audience possible, that's true considering the prevalence of English as a first or second language, but localization exists to bridge that gap. Smaller studios most likely cannot afford, or do not have the means, to localize their indie games, but to suggest that someone should learn another language entirely to play or discuss a game is maximum elitist, exacerbated by the fact that the users asking for assistance in another language were answered in another language. While i respect the unique aspects and history of each language around the world...if you want to play around at a international level and talk about games that are made in english you would be very wise to learn english. You get access to a lot of games. We all should be thankful that there's a language around that's fairly easy to learn (no one has to speak/write it perfectly fluent like a native, having average to above average knowledge is fine) and allows communication with almost every person around the globe if that person was also willed to learn it.
