Wild Life is also supposed to have gameplay mechanics. Havent you seen the quest and combat and crafting they are working on? Its all there, just not fleshed out to a point where it feels good.
Also, the number of patrons always drops at the end of the month. This happens to all projects and has to do with payment processes.
Yes Wildlife is supposed to have them, too. Question is how long it will take for those gameplay mechanics to be implemented into the game.
As I understand - in Subverse early access version (around February/March, I guess) all gameplay mechanics (shmup, grid combat, Pandora (Subverse sex scene simulations)) will already be fully implemented, while further updated will be adding new chapters to story, new characters and more variety. Gameplay design is much more simple (visual novel + shmup and grid combat) compared to Wildlife (3d action rpg), of course.
Back in Wildlife (at least in current demo) those gameplay mechanics are still very "bare bones" (except sex scenes simulation part, which already have a lot of variety). Though I see that in latest posts in patreon dev promised some more info about gameplay and story soon - that post could be interesting. It should help to understand how final game should look and how long development process may take.
