I love the additions you made to Vark's StableAlright I'm sharing some projects I've worked on over the time I've experimented with the sandbox. None of these are halfway finished and are barely proofs of concepts. These are just some ideas I thought were cool. You can use anything in it that you'd like, maybe finishing some (that would be cool to see). The only one I'm working on from here on out is the Stable, as I think that is within my skill range. So have fun perusing. My favorite is the hanger, mainly because of the huge door.
My brother in christ, we're too busy building harems in the sandbox to be thinking about this, we literaly don't care XDBreak down the Demo.
1. You travel from crash site to village. This can take 1 to 5 minutes. While traveling, you talk to someone over the radio and realize something is up (BUILD UP).
2. You arrive at the village and see erotica.
3. You're given a task to compete with shorty, to see who can get laid more.
4. You're thrust into a social dynamic, constantly talking to NPC, figuring out what they want, to get laid.
Break down the Sandbox.
1. Most content revolves around porn.
Now compare Demo and Sandbox content to single player game. The Demo blends erotica and pacing perfectly. You have a build up, then you see porn, then you enter an erotic social dynamic, with the goal of getting sex. Will single player story deviate from this formula? How different will it be from what's in the demo and what people make in the Sandbox?
Or if you're an outlier like me making escape or adventure puzzle maps, that's the beauty of any good sandbox in any game that enables enough creative freedom, you're not just limited to sex stuff there'll be plenty of that from other people. My brother in christ, we're too busy building harems in the sandbox to be thinking about this, we literally don't care XD
Don't forget Steve is using Unreal Engine, which is made to make things like this easy. The companies you mentioned generally refuse to use Unreal Engine because they prefer inhouse engines that don't have royalties. (If Epic Games' business model is still the same as when I last saw it, once a game made with Unreal Engine makes more than $1M in sales, 5% of all sale revenue has to be paid to Epic.)I haven't updated my build in a while but Wow, is there actually a sandbox now? Adeptus Steve out here outplaying Rockstar, Ubisoft, and EA.
