Alright, so I'm making a version 2 of sorts of the Vark's Stable. I need sugestions on how to make the scene look better. I know I want a shed to fit a carriage of sorts, and maybe a house modern or themed. I am honestly quite bad at creating environments.
Nice job, I've also worked on some maps. I wanna recreate the map from the movie called Stay Alive, but instead of horror it's gonna be porn. Made it out of cubes and other shapes mostly, still early tho.

PS: I've added all in progress maps I've worked so far.

Made it a little easier on the camera.Changing the pose and camera, from pressing the button, and vice versa, after the jump.
P.S.
I forgot to remove the cameras themselves, now it's normal.

I'm probably just a moron, but I'm having trouble with fade transitions. My transitions always seem to continue fading in and out, probably because I can't use a button for what I'm doing. I noticed that the showroom fade transition object has a variable called " fade time" which doesn't appear for newly created fade objects. How do I get this variable?

Hey guys, I'm wondering if its possible to set up wild life games to run on both drives? I've downloaded the game to my external hard drive however the game couldn't launch and I'm wondering if it's because it is expected to run the engine from C drive User/Appdata/Wildlife or is it because it needs to run from epic games to functionally work?

  1. It's probably not a case that it doesn't work, it's probably more a case of "it takes SO LONG to load that you didn't wait enough for it". I mean that, some things take upwards of 10-20 minutes to load from an external hard drive, because USB connections are abysmally slow in comparison to SATA
  2. DO NOT run anything from an external drive, DO NOT keep torrents on an external drive, and DO NOT do many read / write operations to an external drive. Trust me, I know first hand that doing that will destroy the drive. They are not made to work like that at all. I had an external drive that I kept torrents on for seeding and it died in 6 months, just after its warranty expired...
Honestly, in my humble opinion, do not buy an external drive unless you want it to transfer huge amounts of data physically (it's trash at that too, use a cross ethernet cable instead) OR you want mass storage without the need of a file server...but again, getting an old close-to-trash PC to use as a file server isn't hard at all depending on where you live...

Went off-topic a bit there...

EDIT: also, it has nothing to do with the file location, I run mine from my E drive

It wasn't able to launch because it quickly gave me a message "Failed to open descriptor File Error" which means that I didn't I set up properly and I realized now the issue comes from the fact that I placed the sandbox mods which comes with the content and engine folders somehow messed up the game so I had to delete the whole wild life folders directories and reinstall again.

Anyway I'm able to launch the game fine without the delays but I'm willing to go along with your advice. The reason why I used external hard drive is because I don't have enough space on my computer so what do you suggest I use? Do you think the better alternative is to use the google drive? Would that messed up the setup or would that make a better backup?

On another topic, when I went into the sandbox, I realized some of the characters in the preset like Jadeen and few others are missing. Am I missing on something or does this game release doesn't have one?

I don't have experience with external USB SSD's but they may behave the same, I had an external HDD myself

No, google drive is worse, store your stuff on your own physical devices, storage space is cheap enough these days.

Also, there's a very high chance you can buy another INTERNAL hard drive or SSD and put it into your computer. The process is VERY easy, you just have to open the case, slide the hard drive into one of the drive bays (or just leave it at the bottom of the case, but I don't recommend that), plug in the SATA Power, plug in the SATA, and close the case again.

EDIT: well, M.2 storage aren't connected by sata, so they are even easier, they literaly just plug into a slot and the you have a stand underneath their hole, and you screw them thru the hole

The hardest part of that is knowing what case panel you need to take off to access the drive bay lol, but you can just open the case panels randomly until you find it.

If the new drive doesn't show up in windows explorer right away, you may need to format it using a windows utility called "create and format hard disk partitions"
