I hope someone will answer us. I don't understand why everyone bypasses this problem. My PC is powerful enough for all modern games. But in this completely empty game, I have a problem on a problem.
a lot of people say that their pc are enought and then want to play with a 1050+I5 6 years old...

it's a lot more than just a model viewer though, it's more like a playable game engine with a shit ton of animated actions
A model viewer for the original half life (1998) would let you load up any model and play every animation that was associated within it.

I'm not trying to split hairs or argue, but the build that is available is just a series of drop down menus that play an animation. It isn't that far removed from what a model viewer is in concept. The key difference here is that this is all within a game world... but the gameworld doesn't offer anything other than to act as a stage that users can decorate and set up their own series of animations, but that's as far as it goes. There aren't any functional gameplay loops.

And this is fine.

T
here isn't anything wrong with this. If people are happy, let them be. There isn't anything out there that seems to do what wildlife does. But to suggest that there is a game underneath this is at best delusional, and at worst, lying. I don't mean to come off as a hater or a naysayer, I'm not a backer or a competitor. I'm just some jabroni who doesn't see what could qualify this as a game. Just comes off as trying to pretend like a brazzers porno is actually a short indie film about a nihilist who comes over to fix "der kable".

Its all subject to change of course. It would be outstanding to come back in 3 years and see there are working stats, gear, quests, story progression, and hell even maybe have player actions cause consequences within the game world - fail to save an npc and that npc is permadead as an example.

What a game makes is irrelevant to scope and release.

It makes too much in your opinion, but I'd wager the people working on it don't see it that way as there are plenty of employees that like getting paid for their work. Not like it's one or two devs taking home that money like the vast majority of games here for shoddy work, they have a team well over a dozen people and if you think what they earn a month is making them filthy rich, then you don't understand how business works and all the expenses that come with it.

Just check back in once or twice a year for progress until it eventually releases, not like you were ever gonna pay for it anyways, so its not really worth getting worked up over.
Saying a person would never pay for a game because they're not active on patreon is very dishonest. If the wildlife team could snap their fingers and magic down a 1.0 release that has all the features they could dream of then you'd see plenty of people who don't even have patreon accounts make the purchase. Divinity original sin 2 comes to mind.

To be clear, I'm not a patreon, but I am one of those people who have checked in once/twice a year to see what's going down.

It's not dishonest at all to suggest a person who thinks a company of around 20 people make too much money for their hard work and dedication because the game isn't being developed fast enough for them. Since they clearly think others don't deserve to get paid for their efforts on top of being absolutely clueless on what it takes to make a game these days, it is safe to assume they're the type of person who doesn't support the creators after the product goes to market.

I never based what I said on if they're a patreon or not, I was only a supporter for a little while, but I don't think it makes me better than anyone else who hasn't. I based it on their view of what they think others deserve for their effort. The game progress has been slow, but it is miles ahead of 99% of all the content on this website by far in many areas of the things that go into said games.

So, when you are of an entitled mindset, which the person I responded to clearly is, it is a safe bet they won't be supporting the creators at the finish line. If they're not deserving of what they earn now in support, what makes you think the person I responded to will think they are worthy of his money after?

Slightly random aside... How does mocapping for this work? Do the actors simulate sex in those mocap suits? Do they do their parts separately? Sounds so awkward. I mean getting paid to dry hump sounds awesome but also awkward.

Probably mainly just normal activities like take this thing and carry it here. Interact with this NPC etc. A lot of that kind of stuff which lowers a lot of animators workload. Sex animations they have manually animated so far and probably continue to do so.

Hey i have updated the map again
Added :
- A train animated with basic shapes for now
- improve map and a map setting for lower end pc
- a new location (nightmare) in hell section to reach hell just go to the police station take the key card on 2nd floor using the elevator and open the armory then click on the artifact inside. Then interact with the floating sword on the ritual.
- Credits system to buy stuff still WIP.
Goal to add a working Tram system to travel betwen some area current number of event 200+ 2k objects and mostly 50+ fps on a 1660ti laptop i try to optimize the best i can.
There is still issues with Portals when to many portals on the map they don't work great.
I hope they add things to work on shape just like ue5 inside the sandbox (unit and trim could be usefull). I don't feel using blender just for this game.

Enjoy.

dude the sandbox has enough functionality for users to literally make their own games and unique experiences. I didn't say there was a game underneath this, I said it was a playable game engine, as in users can build things. I'm literally making a FNAF game using the sandbox, which is something no basic "model viewer" can do.

You are right the sandbox is really good and possibilities are endless
You just need to use your imagination the only thing missing i would say is a tool to build UI and one to cut / unit shapes but its already in UE5 or blender so you do this in those and export to the game the UI thing could be great.
Unless i'm missing something.
Just for ppl to know making animations is way harder than asset flip you get on a store.
This game sandbox is why it is so special from other games in v 0.001 whatever...
Also you don't need to know how to code c++ or use blueprint like UE5 the event thing in this game is not hard to use.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, the patreon version has less content than the demo in steam that hasn't been updated since forever?
