oof. thats a shame. i ran across this game a year ago, tried it out before they managed to make it to steam, have been loosely following the development, still seems like a empty desert. but this project has so dam much potential that i do hope they finish it.

2017 it was just only steve and me prototyping with blueprints
2018 we had 5 people prototyping with as small dev team
2019 we had 10 people actually starting a preproduction & reworking the game design systems
2020 we have 16 people finishing and building the system and polish them. end of this year we have the full game loop to show which is a huge step. (plus freelancers we work with as much we can afford with our patreon income)
everyone stated above is fulltime employee of course.
after the project is "feature complete" we reach the state of content production with all design systems running and can ramp up the amount of gameplay by a lot.
