I know it ain't perfect, just testing the waters.
Reminds me of second life with the static mesh. Too bad image doesn't do justice, if i uploaded a video instead, you can just make the characters invisible and have these animated poses doing the static creatures...

I may be dumb and missed something obvious, but where is the VR in this game, launched it with my VR set up like every other VR game but just launches normally, is it only a specific part of the game or what?

With the Toggle Stereo Rendering Input. It's Alt+O by default, but you can change it in Settings>Input. It's almost at the bottom.
Keep in mind it's very basic and you still need to use the keyboard and mouse to control evertything, and the UI doesn't work in VR. It's quite literally just rendering the game for VR and nothing else

An idea/tip for sandbox/scene creators: the new lipstick and face paint can really make it look like someone's dead! Simply apply the makeup, pose as "sleeping on back," edit the face to eyes closed or the chosen expression in my example, and voila!
