"Hey guys lets demand anything but the actual game and its completion!"
Patreon and discord users prove themselves to be lacking in smarts department once again.
what point is there to demand the game be finished when they continue to post progress reports and have given us an eta of 2025? Like yea, they're working on it, what more are they suppose to do?

Probably because every update is like "we added x amount of animations to the sandbox" and then the actual gameplay aspect is never there despite it being 7 or more years in development now. Honestly at this point I feel like they should just rebrand to an animation sandbox and don't even bother with the game part. I can't possibly see it happening at the pace they're going.

Looking through F95 and Steam, I've seen this complaint alot in EA/open development games where people don't understand that just because something is progressing in one area doesn't mean it isn't also progressing in another(albeit, I get it, things are slow). This goes for development in general, not just in games, but teams are composed of people working on different things, so for example an animator isn't going to be programming mechanics into the story portion of the game, so if animations are done and ready to be shipped there's no real reason to not add them to sandbox. Things being added to sandbox doesn't mean progress isn't being made elsewhere, it means these are different team members working on different things at the same time. Someone working on assets isn't going to be making quests. Various members/teams can finish their own tasks at different times and then they submit and move on to whatever tasks they have to complete next. In development there are times when the progress of one team can postpone the progress of another, but that isn't the case here if things are still being added. FWIW I have a degree in IT Web and Soft Dev and this is something I learned during my courses so it's cool seeing that knowledge come into play here.

No offense, my man, but this sounds like concentrated Copium. Let's assume you're right and this magical team of people has been working on this new content that isn't just a bunch of animations...How come they haven't added even a single quest to showcase their quest system? How come they haven't showcased a trailer or a gameplay video of whatever it is they were making?

There is no conceivable chance on this entire galaxy that a 'studio' wouldn't produce some sort of promo trailer to showcase what they were working on in order to garner even more support via crowdfunding.

Screenshots of store-bought unity landscapes with Maya slapped on top don't exactly impress me, unfortunately. If they legit have nothing worth presenting in its current state then they've been doing fuck-all this entire time, and I do not believe for one moment that they're keeping it a secret cause that would make them a bunch of morons.

Overall, I don't believe they're working on anything besides animations and other sandbox tools to milk modders dry who will, in turn, bring around a number of players as well as patrons in order to be milked dry as well. They're running it in what can only be called 'Maintenance Mode' where they do the bare minimum in order to keep the money flowing.

I could be wrong, mind you, but I highly doubt it and I highly doubt the integrity of the devs.

If you can't take my word about teams being split to tackle various tasks you can just do a quick search on any kind of development really, like I said this isn't unique to game development, any business has groups of people focusing different things, if everyone locked in on one thing at a time we probably wouldn't even have Sandbox in the capacity it's in atm.

Also, we all get the game for free here. On the chance this game fails I wouldn't lose anything other than a pretty good would-be porn game, I'm not a patron there's nothing for me to cope over.

I'm going to assume you haven't messed around with any of the recent builds, they have been including WIP missions for around a year or two now.

How come they haven't showcased a trailer or a gameplay video of whatever it is they were making?
AFAIK they haven't done any recent cinematic trailers, but they do post development videos/clips in Patreon patch notes and on their Youtube channel every now and then showing what they're working on/progressing. Here are some recent ones from the Youtube channel: [ ] [ ] [ ]

On one side of the coin, if you take a look at Larian Studios that just won GOTY for Baldur's Gate 3, . Patch notes and development update videos every now and then. Now on the other side of the coin, if you take a look at Star Citizen that does do promotional videos for new updates, you see people complaining about wasting dev money on trailers rather than on the game. People will find an issue regardless of what devs do when it comes to trailers during EA/open development. I personally lean more towards just saving trailers for the final release, dev updates is enough for me.

I don't follow WL every patch so no idea what this is about, mind linking?

If they legit have nothing worth presenting in its current state then they've been doing fuck-all this entire time, and I do not believe for one moment that they're keeping it a secret cause that would make them a bunch of morons.
The patch notes are free to view on Patreon, everything included in new builds are mentioned in the patch notes, AFAIK nothing on that end is being hidden.

I don't blame people for being skeptical of Patreon porn games, I personally wasted $36 on Fallen Doll years ago just for the dev to switch up on what the game was originally "sold" to be lol. I just think the WL devs have been clear about the direction they're going and have been consistent.

wdym gameplay aspect isn't there? It's been there for a while. The parts already exist.
even the current playable build has the hack n slash, shooting, movement mechanics, health and healing, and I think they have a specific demo of the grapple hook as well. A recent post also talks about their rework of the combat system for an action buffer.

so like... it's all there, it's well within the possibility to implement the gameplay loop, so really the biggest concern is their scope for the project with how big of a game they're aiming for, but it's not like all the gameplay aspects aren't there.

Did you even try playing the game or read the patreon updates before making this post? The stuff you are mentioning has been present for months at this point.

Its me or dev are concentrate there update on Sandbox but not in campaign?...
you will see more immediate results for sandbox since things like animation scenes and outfits aren't reliant on any other factors. they have been sharing progress on internal aspects like level design/blockout, AI, combat, and path-following for the NPC's. they still have a lot to work on before we're really going to see the pieces start fitting together.

7 years in the same fastfood joint, the menu hasn't changed and the quests and gameplay is non-existant.
2000 animations soon? What's the point? It's the developers money-maker, no need to finish it.

the more recent builds do have quests and gameplay if you want to see what it's about.
if you aren't satisfied with the progress you can always un-subscribe

One thing I'd love for the devs to work on is making the dozens of sex positions already in the game more polished so they could come close to the scripted sex scenes. As of now, the 'sex minigames' are infinitely more engaging and polished then the random sex positions that come across as a Skyrim sex mod with the primitive camera and all. Basically, when you've seen the scripted sex scenes you've seen the creme de la creme, and everything else feels like placeholders. But it doesn't have to!

These random sex positions could be nearly as exciting as the scripted scenes if they added some things:

1. Giving every sex position some camera angles like the sex minigames have.
2. Adding variables to the positions but most importantly make each position finish/climax rather then repeat until abruptly stopping.
3. Did a 'fade to black' when you switch sex positions, they could make the random sex scenes you can plug in feel a lot more fluid and immersive.

I think that'd be the way to go as you can make virtually every character bump uglies with any other character with all the positions already in the game. Making it so it looked and played so much better would be an awesome feature that could be in the finished game, allowing us to earn relationship points or whatever to get it so we could start these build our own sex scenes with whomever we want, even if there's no script or dialogue for these two characters.

Pretty sure most positions have a "Climax" version to, so you would use the sex position in the queue and then the Climax. To get exactly what you want.

How do you do the first mission of being impregnated? I do like the npc says, stand in front of the werewolf/bear, the wolf kills me and the bear just walks around me. I can't get them to interact
