The thing that makes the sex animations in this game so good is that they're mostly done manually by a talented person. Mods will not necessarily have that same quality for that reason.
Unreal Engine Wild Life [Patreon Build 2024.04.19] [Adeptus Steve]
Having been in the Skyrim modding scene I can tell you that there are exceptionally talented animators, easily on the level of Wildlife.
What modding brings is extended free dlc of all kinds. It's content that requires the main game to acces. So if a game has decent DRM and a good price, mods can be a big selling point for that game.
What it did for Skyrim and could do for Wildlife is have user created, storydriven quests. There are a lot of great mods for Skyrim and Fallout in this aspect. It would give the wildlife team some breathing room and the great thing about modding is it's unrestricted.
Where Patreon and Bethesda draw certain lines, mods just rocket beyond it and give zero fucks.
Games that allow modsupport easily have the biggest longevity, Minecraft, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, GTA, UT99 (in it's golden days) to name a few.
I acknowledge the benefit that mods bring, but you keep comparing Wild Life to very popular mainstream triple A titles. The amount of attention that this game gets is much, much lower than those big titles. I'm not saying that that automatically means that there will not be high quality mods, because I know how dedicated the hentai and furry community can be, but it does mean that the chances of it happening is significantly lower.

Hey boiz,
here is a quick update from our side (Combat)
We can finally show our combat feature based on our own C++ code
(no blueprints)
We are getting close to a point where we can feed our feature with content, same goes for story/quest-design.
*edit: its still a work in progress, but you can see where it goes. Decent lock on will be implemented in the finished version of course

Combat looks decent, might need some stagger to make the hits feel heavier, but without letting you stunlock enemies. Also very good animations from what I can see

You mean Maya? I don't think she looks bad to begin with. And I've made her look good through customization as well. Although looks are very subjective, of course. But most of the other girls are practically the same anyway, gameplay wise. So you have some options in that way.
I agree with your sentiment. Maya is very unattractive. With her customization, her breasts and butt can never be as big as say Serenia's... even at max settings. Her facial structure isn't very appealing either. Honestly, I'd rather play as Serenia, than Maya... and I always do. The moment I load up the game, I immediately take possession of Serenia. Maya is just plain gross.

I might be the only one but I’d love to see “half” anthros. Like a human looking girl with fox ears and a tail. Or even other animals like a cat, cow (horns), wolf, etc. I think that would add even more variety to what is already there. Then again that may be a little too close to traditional hentai tropes for some.

Its mostly a question of taste. I for example dont care for anyone from the human girls. They all look okay, but I jsut dont find them overly attractive. My favourite one is Rasha, but she doesnt even have that much content (which iswhy I am very sad atm).
I have heard though that there was a demo with Max being a MC (?). So which one is going to be MC? Max or Maya? They both?
I also dont udnerstand Wild Life's intention on having so many characters and various sex combintaions. Will we be able to play as all of them in the future? Will the "possess" button stay in realease version? Every character is going to have a quest story line? And they all will be abel to have sex with each and every one? How will that work?

No, there wasn't. Maya was still MC. It's just that Max was the only other NPC in that demo, and you were doing a quest of sorts to help him.
