You don't have to keep supporting them in between updates. If a new version comes out, give them the 10 bucks for the month then cancel your subscription after you downloaded the new version.i don't have a single issue with patreon, if the game is progressing nicely though. 10 a month adds up. After a few months you've paid for the cost of the game, but in some cases, the game has barely progressed. It feels like you're running in place.
I stopped supporting after the previous update failed to bring much new. It's clear the game isn't progressing outside of a model here and there and a few animations. Are they really going to just keep spending time on animations and no other game play? That lead me to believe the game isn't really going anywhere. I'm happy to be proven wrong though! I'd love to see this game turned into a survival game or something (why make another fetch quest game!?!?!)
as far as spending money, people need to see a return. People here act like we should be happy to just give money to people on patreon cause it's the good, honest thing to do. To heck with that! You want my money, you better earn it!
As far as update content goes, I can't remember where I read it, but they have a pretty good team of people working on some massive improvements set to be released throughout the year. These changes take a lot of time, of course, which is why we are only seeing small updates with nothing more than new/reworked animations. I assume they are separate teams, so while one team works on the big stuff, the other team can work on the smaller stuff and release minor updates as they go along.
