I believe it is the founders first (game) project, but some of the management are supposed to be experienced from larger studios .Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know this is the studios first project, so it's almost guaranteed to have mismanaged project milestones simply by lack of experience.
That quote was purely referring to the amount of money expected from the kickstarter campaign from their QnA about expectations. They saw how much FOW got and expected to replicate that.FOW had an impeccable track record back when they made movie projects but last I heard Subverse was received rather badly by fans. There is no studio that's immune to fucking up and losing customer loyalty. See CDProjekt Red or Bethesda for reference.
I've tested the latest demo (from here and official from steam), across several machines. They have ranged from old GTX660 with 2GB vRam and up, and R9 275X and up, across Win7, Win10, Win11. It runs stable on all nVidia based cards, poorly usually for the quality, but stable. But ATI/AMD, I'd love to hear what GPU config (driver ver and OS) you have that can run it stable from both sandbox (that includes flying around as Maya forcing rapid terrain/texture loads) and demo mode for more than 15 minutes without issues. Best I can get is from my RX570 with 8GB vram, not flying, in sandbox, is about 10 minutes before it pukes with out of vram errors or simple CTD. Thats on latest feature build of Win10 and latest AMD drivers on Ryzen based system.I've been running several iterations of this game on different hardware (and currently on 2016 hardware) and not once encountered one of the problems you mention here.
What annoys me is how arrogant they are with ignoring stability and playability complaints, every dev rig is nvidia only (as per their QnA), and any planned tech if implemented will also only be the likes of DLSS, completely ignore open (and reportly easier to implement) cross platform tech like FidelityFX Super Res (also in their QnA).Sorry if I sound like I'm defending the game. I'm not. It's an unfocused project that's way too ambitious for it's own good and gained too much support too fast and I doubt it'll ever turn out to be the thing people are hoping for. But we should at least stay in a somewhat realistic lane with the expectations.

Which is why, again, I would almost prefer that he scraps the idea of having such an ambitious combat system and just give the 'good enough' option that feels good, is simple, and makes it easy to traverse from place to place fucking NPCs. Only because thats the actual reason 99% of people will be playing it.
Nah, I didnt even post any specific numbers, screenshots, etc.Finally some one that knows and tests stuff too , i feel you , i usually say what i see on steam or other forums about games and get insulted or trashed by wannabe fanboys that doesnt even know what AA , Tearing , or other grafic stuff means.
and i also Test the new poses on Oasis the old one you teleport from the rock because its the only one that doesnt stutter crazy,
the new map when you enter even on SSD you need to wait 10 sec to load textures or its just freezing arround.
the fisher village from older versions had better performance because if someone here on this forum remembers had the old vegetation not the new one , the Npcs and actors drop frames at certain amount tested that too , but the Stuttering the low Fps are mostly those new trees behind the village , the lightning sources etc.
So for a better user experience i hope the devs think on small locations for testing or playing arround with npcs or poses on sandbox.
for example , why we have to be on the fisher village on sandbox with lots of struggle because of the huge map load , when you can cut that part of the island make it smaller , just the village less forest behind better performance.
another example , why not a sandbox mode that you enter on those small areas i say like the kerpal village but with no npcs so you can drop them yourself with the summon console , and test the poses etc since its a sandbox mode i rather have pose editor droping the npcs with a certain pose behaviour etc , than entering on the same ''story'' map without the videos.
they could easy creat a small map area like Beach with few cabins , oasis like older builds with less stuff and more comfy , for those sandboxs screenshots pose testing etc , the fps will be like the showroom flawless 72+ fps on high.
another thing , why we need a poser console to put there poses on Npcs if we cannot leave them posing ? as soon you close the poser animation cancels for the characters :S.

Wow, 3070 and still having performance issues? Thats pretty insane.Nope, I have a 3070 and the game has massive framerate spikes, it's just badly unoptimized but I've seen worse, trust me.
Yeah this has me much less excited, playing as MaxAlso following up from my previous post, I have to note something that I find strange. It seems the story mode is going to star Max and maybe rotate between characters. But why Max specifically? This is probably a gigantic marketing mistake. My first exposure to this game wasn't the Sci-fi storyline or even the porn, it was Maya and her flying. I only found out later that it was a porn game after I had seen videos of Maya flying around and how smoothly she transitioned from one to another.
Doesn't help that Max is better known as 'that twink with the tiniest dick in the game'. So even if it has been made this way to ward off the 'female protagonist' tag, it's going to disappoint a lot of people who play these games to be the big-dicked gigachad that Max clearly is not.
Maybe that's weird but it seems Maya has always been the face of the game and should stay that way, sci-fi storyline that most people will click through be damned.
