yea okay..so what? I'm willing to animate things myself, and have already been doing that.
Only if the skeleton changes.
I mean, if the characters are so similar that the skeleton doesn't change AT ALL then wtf is the point of having two different characters in the first place? Also, booba and butt can change sizes without skeleton changes...and guess the most important two things in a porn game lol

Not sure if I misunderstood the issue. But if you take two people of same height and general shape and look at just their skeletons they will be indistinguishable, yes. But skeletons do not make characters. Its the skin, the hair, the face, the outfit, the expression, the small imperfections and asymmetries that really nuances and makes the individual unique. Saying that just because a character has the same skeleton as an other invalidates the concept of that second character is probably not what you meant ... right?

About the technical limitations of importing animated custom 3rd party character models into the game, it simply doesnt through the custom mesh importer because that plug-in doesnt support skinned mesh objects, only static models.

The thing is, for the usual animations, that works, but even as is right now in Wild Life, some parts of animations are modeled around customisation and it shows as far as I remember.

Best example I can give are boobs. They act the same for a specific skeleton but that makes them flat on some skeletons (like if you max out Maya's slider they're flat, if you set it very low they're pointy)

Butts are the same. I think there isn't a single scene in the game where the butt is actually touched...and for good reason, the interaction would clip through or float the moment the butt size is modified...unless there's some point where butt skin will always stretch to no matter the butt size, which can then break the shape of the butt and yadayadayada

Idk why the hell I refered to skeletons in that last reply, but what I really meant to say was that two characters that are even marginaly different can't have the same animations without some touchy parts of the animations being floaty or clippy...so the detailed animations look bad with custom models regardless if the skeleton is the same or not.

The simple animations are mostly unaffected most of the time though, as long as the important parts (main joints, head, crotch position) are all in the same place, which as far as I'm aware are what defines a skeleton.

But obviously if not even the skeleton is the same then the whole animation doesn't work.

Not that there's any better way of doing this, really, I'm glad there are shared skeletons in the game but at the same time I feel that, fixed, non-customisable characters would make for animations that are much more touchy and muuuuch better overall...it's a tradeoff in the end.

Depends what exactly you mean here...

Do you mean another NPC(patroling/walking around) bumping into an NPC(in looped pose), then it automatically triggering a sex scene with the two?

If not try to explain a little more maybe I can help out.

I can imagine many other things you mean by this, and I can see ways to do all of them, but explaining them all would probably be excessive. So I'd rather just get clarification.

Alternatively; if this is something you've seen done in other sandbox creations from users, try breaking down someone else's public scene to see how they made it.

We need more sliders for the bodies, and the physics options for the defaults scenes. Physics options are only available for new scenes.

can you run any other 3d game? Any Unreal game? Does your PC meet UE5 requirements?

I can't start the game , error:

1.first time
Can't find file "CreateFile2" in library "KERNEL32.dll."

2.second time
Can't find point of opening "CreateFile2" in library "KERNEL32.dll."

same- kernel32 issues point to general PC (Windows) issues, not this game related. Try running other 3d games and try running something using UE5 to see if the same error persists.

As for WildLife, do we have some update about the imminent April update? I read the Patreon the other day and it did not sound like a large changelog, so wondering when we are to expect the next big thing (like the Sandbox2.0 was)

No words on the next big thing from any of the developers. Most likely the next "big thing" would be the map completion or near completion or the addition of true gameplay.
As for sandbox though.. Which I love.
The next big thing will just be all/most of the content from the main game, being made available for sandbox, which from what I was told, as soon as it's out in the main game, it will become available in sandbox (just not always everything).

TLDR: Basically, no idea, no word from any devs on their next big implementation. (As far as I know).

They are finally starting to roll out quests with this update, I think it's pretty significant (hopefully this will shut up complainers)

so i am a bit confused with this - is there a 'game' in this 11GB download or is it still just a tech platform for users to build a game upon? Cause in the sandbox mode it seems like the character is just running around in an empty map with nothing to interact with and no real purpose. If we preload some of the user maps, there's a little interaction but it's quite limited. So I am assuming this is simply just an engine and no real game here?

there's a short demo and a gigantic sex sandbox map AND there's a decent world builder

The UE4 version is bigger, is it better ? I heard the UE5 is still too early.
Which one is better ? I tried the UE5 before and it was unfinished, no NPCs, missing textures etc...

So in short - there is no game yet. Only a short demo and an open map/sandbox world builder for you to create your own game. And that's fine, cause having an engine is step 1. But as a consumer, I would rather consume a ready made product, instead of getting the tools to DIY my own game
