I guess i'm referring to, like say you have a fully rigged character model in blender. Is there any way to use that in game and replace one of the existing characters so they use the same animations?wdym by custom models exactly?
you can import pretty much any fbx model but it won't have a rig or anything, you COULD import parts of a model and then manually animate it like I did with this insect "You must be registered to see the links" but it takes a lot of work. Otherwise you can do some simple stuff like import a necklace or a weapon and simply attach it to a wildlife character

Next friday. Check Steve patreon development. The updated looks insane with the new outfits. Wish I can support himGuys any news when a new build drops? Aching for some new animations
Why would that be terrifying? Is anyone else terrified that Wild Life might end up like Skyrim - as in remembered for the amount of user-created content that it popularizes while the story remains a lackluster and forgettable meal?
The reason Bethesda games tend to have a very long life is because of the modders. So if modders, somehow, keep this game alive a decade form now... That would be something to rejoice, not fear, surely? Is anyone else terrified that Wild Life might end up like Skyrim - as in remembered for the amount of user-created content that it popularizes while the story remains a lackluster and forgettable meal?
I still hope that the game will finally have a decent story that will be remembered for a long time.Is anyone else terrified that Wild Life might end up like Skyrim - as in remembered for the amount of user-created content that it popularizes while the story remains a lackluster and forgettable meal?
It's because, to make it short and simple, how would you feel as a developer if you worked on a campaign for your story only to put only the bare minimum effort and leave all of your characters and settings not discussed outside of a sandbox or porn context? People mainly view Skyrim as a playground for mods specifically because Bethesda failed and continues to fail at hooking their audiences narratively or having any remotely decent character or quest writing. They're never remembered for their plots. Why would that be terrifying?
Why'd u even expect a story from a sandbox porngame which is mainly focused on poses and NSFW content? It's because, to make it short and simple, how would you feel as a developer if you worked on a campaign for your story only to put only the bare minimum effort and leave all of your characters and settings not discussed outside of a sandbox or porn context? Half-arsing WL's story after years of development in the hopes everyone's standards are lowed because of porn would be cheating the investment of the story fans who hoped for more substance over style from a groundbreaking game in the porn genre
Let me rephrase that question. Why would that be terrifying for us, the consumers? It's because, to make it short and simple, how would you feel as a developer if you worked on a campaign for your story only to put only the bare minimum effort and leave all of your characters and settings not discussed outside of a sandbox or porn context? Also one more thing the fact that mods have kept the game relevant for 10 years has allowed bethesda to re-release the game at least three times, two special editions and an N-Switch port. I don't know about you but that seems like a win to me.It's because, to make it short and simple, how would you feel as a developer if you worked on a campaign for your story only to put only the bare minimum effort and leave all of your characters and settings not discussed outside of a sandbox or porn context? I'd say you're half wrong.Coming back to check this game every several months to see how it's going. It sounds like the initial direction of gameplay/story is still abandoned, and it just kept going as a sandbox for poses and animations? Is that correct?
Yeah I mean the thing has over 1000 freaking pages of comments, clearly it's successful in some regard. I'm not denying that. But it's just not what initially drew me into it so I'm waiting to see if it ever develops further in that aspect.I'd say you're half wrong.
The game is progressing judging by their Patreon Dev reports but yes the current of state of the game is just a gallery viewer. However, I can't think of any other game that has this many animations. At this point, I'm just thankful it exists.
Most NSFW games don't have that big of a monthly budget either, so the comparison isn't entirely fair.I'd say you're half wrong.
