IMHO I don't really GAF about the story, I'm 99.9% a sandbox player. I love creating my own little custom scenes.
The only thing I would wish, that it would be easier to do so. ATM It's kind of a chore building logic / writing LUA to make cool scenes. More streamlined tools are needed.
Keep making more Scenes, Maps , Characters, Props. Unreal updates to make thing look even better. Unreal 5.6 is soon out btw with major improvements. Keep Improving the Sandbox at all costs.

Also it would be great if we could create NPC routines to make our Sandbox creations more alive. For example it would be fun if two NPCs would be able to start randomly screwing ..

Just my two cents.

I agree a lot, specially because there are even AI based NPC managers available on FAB {Unreal Engine's new Marketplace}which allow to give them an actual routine like going to guard, sleep, eat and so on, adding sexual behaviours would be pretty easy to achieve. Much better than having them wandering aimlessly and chaotically around. Besides it would allow to have the NPCs located in the different villages and outposts pretty easy as well.
The only reason I might suspect they didn't do that yet is the fact we can break an NPC's routine when we "possess" him/her or we get an NPC follow us, so they should make sure an NPC goes back to his/her own routine as soon as we unpossess or dismiss him/her.

I really hope they sort that out, I've been looking forwards to seeing that happening soon and I still do so. It's just a matter of time, after all.

i have ryzen 7 5700x and rtx 3070, idk why this game has really bad optimization, i tried with every graphic api and low and also ultra graphic settings and the fps are still the same, that far distance tree shouldnt be fully renderered right?
It's not super optimized because it's not done yet, and optimization hasn't been a strong focus yet.

As for your issue, it's mainly that your computer is trying to render and compute the NPCs that are way in the distance while doing everything else at the same time too, which lowering settings should help a little, and especially turning off raytracing (called Lumen) under the Global Illumination setting. It's also just a known issue that, due to the lack of optimization (such as missing or no LoD models for distant stuff making things like the trees fully render, or no culling so that things in the distance aren't visible until you get closer), the story mode has really bad performance.

So it's a known issue? i mean i've tried set everything low as possible, even though i tried to lower my resolution all the way down to 600x800 it has the same fps lol, and no i dont have any fps limiter either in game or RTSS.

Yeas ago I played a version of this with real content 2 map a beach with a crashed ship of humans and a jungle with a beast tribe, with dialogs and missions. That had more content. Can someone point me in the right direction to find this version?
UE4 version

And in that version, it wasn't "real content", it was a demo map on what is now called the old map. The newer UE5 versions have more and is more in line with what the devs have planned for the final release, though you would get more out of playing around in the sandbox mode and with maps made by other people in the game's Discord server.

FYI. Optimization is last thing done in a game.
