Thanks for the list.. but just to be clear. The person said:

" There are good/not bad openworld projects with actually great gameplay and good quality porn animations "

Are you saying those 4 games have "great gameplay" and "good quality animations" ? :sneaky:

I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that there are "Open World" games out there.. the question is more one of quality.. making open world games is hard - really hard apparently.
I consider all of them superior to Wild Life in terms of gameplay. Whether they're truly great or have high quality animations is certainly debatable, but one thing I'm confident about is that their gameplay is significantly more developed than Wild Life's near non existent mechanics.

All I want to say, if You make a lot of great sex scenes... not a fact they'll actually end as playable game :p

So wait, Carnal Instinct gets a pass, and so does Breeders of the Nephelym, but not Wild Life? CI also takes Patreon funding, has been in early access for years, and like Wild Life, also did a swap from UE4 to UE5, losing content when it did so and setting back development milestones. BotN has been in early access since 2017 (like WL), uses Patreon, and is still incomplete, as well. Seems like they're not exactly being judged by the same metric.

Carnal Instinct has somewhat more gameplay than Wild Life, but dramatically less sexual content/animations. The gameplay stuff isn't really utilized yet, i.e. you can level up stats and collect tokens that will eventually be used for a progression system, but because those systems don't do anything yet it's just numbers for the sake of numbers. It does have some quests that can be completed using the combat and dialogue mechanisms, so that's good. BotN has quite a lot of developed gameplay, though personally I'm not a big fan of the visual style.

For Wild Life, I think I'd honestly do away with the RPG element, and keep the open world. There are plenty of games with an open world that don't have to involve grinding, leveling up, collecting loot, etc.; the earlier Assassin's Creed franchise had you play a single character but still had story-driven quests and optional side missions, and it makes for a simpler, easier-to-implement gameplay style, in my opinion, because you can always account for the main character behaving a certain way in relation to combat and such. Having written my own tabletop RPG system, I can say that stat-balancing an RPG is a nightmare, and if you can instead just say "here's some interesting characters you can be, now go forth and enjoy the story and tight combat", it's WAY easier to implement. Like, have Max and Maya as main characters, allow the player to change the appearance of their avatar (I agree with others, I'm not a fan of Max), but keep combat simple and tight and just award "milestone" improvements over time, like starting with a basic weapon and later getting a better one, doing a side-quest to get better damage reduction, and so on, without having to go full "Dark Souls" on microscopic stat improvements and gear synergies.

Combat mechanics can't be ignored also, The Last Barbarian had that problem... boring simle combat only kills the interest. Combat mechanics like in Carnal Instinct is good enough for adult rpg IMO

Yeah, if anything I was thinking back to the 2000s when I first played Assassin's Creed. Altair as a character is locked in, so the game is distinctly not an RPG, but the combat and free running offered enough interest to make it fun to get around the world and to get into trouble. Then, later in the game, you'd unlock higher abilities that were just improvements on what you had before, and which allowed the fighting to be refreshed, somewhat. Just saying, I think that could work for Wild Life; it doesn't have to be, "I have level 3 leather armor and a level 5 shotgun with +6% crit chance and +2 DPS against non-human enemies, but that's a level 6 monster with +3% bleeding chance, so I have to mix a potion and upgrade my gear to avoid his slash attack..." etc.; needless complication when it can just be "here's a fun way to fight. Some enemies will be tougher than you, so do some quests, get basic rewards on a linear progression, and then you can fight them". Simple can still be fun, but yes, it should avoid just being "click LMB to not die".

They're all being judged by the same standard: gameplay. And by that measure, every one of them is superior to Wild Life. Regardless of how incomplete or buggy they may be, they're still actual, playable games, something Wild Life can't genuinely claim to be.

To be quite honest:
  • Carnal Instinct - I can't speak about this one
  • Breeders of the Nephelym - Not even close to Wild Life, both in animations and physics, but probably the best of the four.
  • Wicked Island - Not even close to Wild Life, both in animations and physics.
  • The Last Barbarian - Not even close to Wild Life, both in animations and physics.

Sad to hear this. I actually hope that devs just drop the story content and start focusing on the openworld sandbox, not just a scene editor I mean.
The story mode is pretty much guaranteed to fail anyway. Like 80% of full on AAA devs can't even manage it these days. And when they do, it's what? A few hours of content? Best we'll ever get out of this is a janky, slapped together mess that flops along for 3 hours, 5 years from now, that they'll then scrap and start over.

it would be nice if this GAME had some actual GAMEPLAY. the story mods and map editors have been better than the story mode tbh. i dont like the pose selector.

Guys Im confused. Doesnt a ship build mean the game is done? why are there so many updates after their first ship build?

I love the Djablo updates! Just my 50 cent.

I'm not so invested into the story, unless maybe one day we can play as Djablo himself! I just love to check back into the game every half a year or so and have a sexy time watching the new stuff. My dream is still a game like this, but in a classic fantasy universe as I think this whole kerpali universe is a little far fetched. I'll still play though!
I understand ugly bastards, degradation and humiliation isn't everyones kink, but honestly you're coming to f95 to find wholesome porn?
Meanwhile the tentacle thing fans

It was a pain to browse 70+ pages just to find all the sandbox maps nice people here have created and shared for us.
To save others from similar hassle I created a list of all maps/scenes posted since the release of the new sandbox.

I hope this helps, work smarter not harder. :WeSmart:
can update it?
