How's my dear Adeptus?
As you can see, I'm annoying, but the materials are causing memory problems; they must be auto-removable.
Unreal "latest version" confirms this, and my "workstation" engine.
You know me, I'm sure of it through my different names over the years, my many mods, and various forums. "I'm not so young anymore." I've been following your project from the beginning, and I see myself in you.
I've been using Unreal since the beginning too....
When will there be a breast inertia parameter? Modify an .ini file, so to speak. These ladies' breasts are still too stiff, thank you.

The marvellous of sandboxing:

Yesterday i downloaded a map called "Settlement". For some reasons, not all the features were uploaded, resulting in objects and npcs suspended in the middle of the air without any terrain.

How to solve?

Simple: without any ground, i decided to.... make a total new ground. Water scenery, to be precise.

What i'm trying to say with this post is:

Instead of disrespect the AdeptusSteve and his work, imagine how many worlds and stories you can create whit his sandbox.

The game is not finished?

WHO FREAKING CARES.

Instead of wait his story, let's create our own.

sandbox wonders:
Go from 4 to 5.
rework the combat system 4 times
fuck up the performance
non-working or semi-working automatrons
for the emperor!

You ask, "Who cares?", I do. Because the original promise(and still the ongoing one) was to deliver an open-world adult RPG, not a sandbox where the burden of content creation is shifted onto the players. And if custom scene creation is truly what you're after, there are far better and more accessible alternatives, like Virt A Mate or Illusion's titles such as Koikatsu and Honey Select. These actually support VR and boast massive modding communities, something Wild Life simply can't compare to.

I'm pretty happy with it as just a collection of animations tbh. They're good.

Glad I didn't give it any money tho lmao.

Frankly I don't care about the game. I'd like them to just optimize what they can and work on the sandbox more.

Sure, it doesn't compare as favorably to others, so might as well improve it.

... But again, I ain't invested AT ALL. They all have a right to be a bit ticked off, unless they donated for the animations.

We still get plenty of hate even tho its almost entirely contained within this thread. Among many other reasons, I assume its from people who havent made any effort to familiarize themselves with our project and know nothing of the recent developments. At some point something rubbed them the wrong way and the hate has since prevented them from seeing our progress now.
Steve my feedback is more Bol sex animations please even if they're ports of other pairings. He has no couch animations too.

Who is this ticked off "they"? The pirates on this forum who do not support the project?

It's almost as if the devs prioritize the erotic parts of the game due to that being what the patrons are primarily interested in...

What's wrong with the sound in this game? Two sighs in 9 years of development, animations are boring as hell. You do everything but the sounds, so it all looks cheap and crappy.

Thanks Adeptus, here's some stuff missing from sandbox that makes content creation a bit sloppy.
  • Hairstyles: you could just import from KS Hairdos (dudes modding Skyrim) like other devs. Those have been easily ported to many games. And they got lots of variety.
  • Characters without "Posses Button": I mean NPCs just walking around; without the "Posses" button hovering above their head. why is it useful? Immersion; filling the map with a crowd that you can't interact with in any way.
  • Animation variety: Animation for other characters; as others on this thread have pointed out, so far it's mostly focused on a few models.
  • Enemies for sandbox: I know that's a tough ask, but ppl need something to kill man. It can't be all fun and sex all the time. WE NEED SOMETHING TO KILL :LOL:
obviously these are just suggestions, otherwise I appreciate your work on sandbox.

Same. Hundreds of animations for an erotic game is good. 1 or 3 sexual interactions with a character and you can't even control the speed or the camera just plain sucks. And props to Steve for getting that even with the earliest builds.

I'd say it's better than a released porn game set in space and it just "promised" good porno. I'd say WL's scope sure is big but at the very least, the devs are constantly putting out updates. I'm guessing it's pretty hard to apply bandaid to very technical stuff that is unreal engine.

That said, sandbox is showing some promise and community involvement is really good where you can create your own, but it does need work like dumbing things down a bit more--like, virtamate (mentioned here, so i thought including it would be okay) but loaded with a lot of plugins for QoL, like auto thrusting and stuff.

Alright. I get that this is a cycle for every update and every coomer here really hates WL so much that we still ask for updates, so, see you on the next.

And for the ones that are shitstorming:

Can i remind you all that we are on F95, a site that doesn't have exactly a good reputation between authors and real patrons?

So, instead of shitstorming because you're getting for free a paid content, just..... think about it twice.

Just for say it.

Why the fuck some people here continue sayin' "sandbox" "sandbox game" "sandbox mode" OMG... It is not sandbox, PLEASE STOP! There is a "playable" studio for creating scenes.

I don't understand why this simple logic is so hard for some people to grasp. The issue isn't about animations or sandbox features, it's about a promise made and never fulfilled. The developer has been collecting support for nearly nine years since their first post on Patreon, all based on the promise of delivering an open-world adult RPG. And yet, after all this time, they're still nowhere near that goal.

Whether someone personally funded the project or not is irrelevant. What matters is the deception, they could have simply said from the beginning, "We're making a sandbox and scene creator, nothing more", and that would've been perfectly fine. But they didn't. They promised one thing and delivered another, and that should be a major red flag to everyone.

The result? When have we said we are finished? Thats wishful thinking by a bunch of delulus in here who just want us to "FINSH THE GAME RIGHT FUCKING NOW" as if the remaining shit left to do is just sitting on our shelves just waiting for us to click the "finish game" button. Thats a level of willful misinformation I see no point in dealing with.
I think the criticism stems from the fact that you have essentially remade the game 3(4?) times, you keep trying new ideas which means any progress you previously made is throw-away instead of iterated on. This gives the impression your not building up to anything and it ~feels~ like you're unsure what you are even making anymore - but of course - none of that is stopping you from collecting your patreon every month - from my perspective - It seems like you just expect people to fund your forever-prototyping development process and never criticize anything, as if you have optimized your workflows perfectly and anyone who challenges anything is just bad faith or too stupid to understand the complexities of Blueprint and Keyframing.

If I compare this to Carnal Instincts which is far from a completed experience, in the last two years they have gone from what your game used to be (an empty open world of sex scene finding) to a fully fleshed out story with quests / voice acting. It's still a very shallow experience but I can at least see a vision being acted on.

EDIT:
The whole "we aren't finished yet" argument loses a lot of it's value when your development process is being funded by crowd sourcing (your customers) and "we aren't finished yet" is actually a proxy for "we never keep our deadlines, we have no consistent road map, we constantly change direction and we expect you to fund this process forever"

This post belongs in the Louvre. Thanks for encapsulating the dynamic with so many crowdfunded projects around here.
