oofff bummer! Ctrl+D, Remove Bookmark!
Tripling our storage up to 70tb to store mac and linux isn't feasible unfortunately. Renpy games can easily be modified to be multi-platform anyway -

that's fair, it's not an accusation, just a comment.
the game content is still safe in there, and (to be honest) most games works better with Wine on Linux than on Windows.
I guess you got a huge save in file sizes by removing the bundled binaries.

Correct, we don't keep games that are banned here. Also no mods (etc), we focus only on the games - specifically the windows version and the highest quality available.
It would be great if you could web-scrap ratings and tags from f95 too. With ero games 90% is trash and finding decent one is actually harder than getting them (at least as of now, before everything got deleted everywhere). Ah, and fan translations of course - this is the most important.

That's F95's job, not ours :D
We're not trying to replicate them in any way, it's just an alternative way of downloading. Whenever people on our discord have questions about games (every single day) we just direct them to the F95zone thread. Tags & reviews might make it better, but we'd rather direct them here where there's so, so much more info that we simply couldn't even attempt at replicating it. It's better for the user IMO.

Nah, we don't touch the files themselves. We do manage to save ~5-10% disk space (and thus bandiwdth) by unpacking and recompressing the games using LZMA2. It does make your PC work a little harder to unpack it but all the files inside are original. Anyway if you wanna chat more we have a thread here. I don't wanna derail this any further :p

I wasn't talking about fully replicating f95 with reviews and everything, I only talked about backing up what is already here on f95. Because if it is shut down then all this info that has been built over many years and that helps us find decent games would be gone. Of course it's up to you to decide if it worths the effort, but I just see this info as valuable as the games themselves, this is why I'm suggesting to back it up.

For comparison - reviews on DLsite are garbage, they are always positive and non-informative, they are basically almost useless

I wouldn't worry about F95 going down if I were you. It's pretty resilient and I'm sure the staff have several backup plans if something were to happen.

We already have every single game on
...shill....
Regarding censorship, F95 will probably attract pressure from OFCOM in the UK, it came into effect a couple of days ago. The bill is ludicrous, so far it appears most sites are complying by just blocking the UK entirely.

I don't believe this site will be targeted because it is actually the penultimate final end boss of the adult game sector: all the games are free.

At the end of the day unless things turn around I would anticipate more and more adult games to get blacklisted from payments and the associated processors and the sites, needing to make a profit themselves still, will jettison the adult content in favor of the much larger SFW content. For Steam they should be fine. Itch.io may have some downsizing in their future but they may be able to hang on.

You'll have also have a nice swath of demoralized devs making adult games who may go bankrupt and likely leave the industry for good.

You'll see the number of adult games catapult to a massive low volume. For everyone complaining about patreon updates not happening fast enough, it may get a lot slower since there may be no money involved of sufficient amount. I'm sure people will find a way to get some money, but it won't be enough from enough sources.

Now if F95 decides to open some sort of "donation" service they distribute to game devs in some fashion, then they will very much get on the radar of sites that get taken out and regulated quick or have their income streams cut off entirely and face the same situation as every other site doing this same thing currently.

I have found it so far in , a radfem sub. I read there occasionally because they have their points in relation to the irl porn industry and the impact on (adolescent) addictive behaviour.

However, they lack differentiation (to be fair, this is not in the sub-purpose ^^) and some of them seem to consider the collateral damage with harmless LGBTQ+ on itch as tolerable. Both cause far more damage than anything is worth and the latter isn't acceptable at all.
Collective Shout is a Christian radical TERF group, so I doubt they care about LGBTQ+.

Just saw collectiveshout force itch.io to remove every nsfw games from their site
Just wondering if those losers are gonna target us too
Unlikely they will be affected. It's Visa and Mastercard (and possibly other payment processors) who are pressuring itchio and Steam that are store fronts. I doubt they'd go after a forum.

It's not (or much less) about the money, it's about power and virtue signaling. "See, I did a good thing and thus I am a good person. Do not open my closet."
For most situations I agree, but Collective Shout are a radical Christian TERF group. They're extremists, and basically per definition extremists are batshit crazy, so not virtue-signalling (except for the normal Christan kind), just delusional people.

I think Collective Shout is just an ad-hoc group that was created only recently. On their website they say they have been active since 2010 but all the news are related only to the recent debauchery, so I think they are lying and they were created only to make it look like vox populi, not corporate big wigs initiative.

In the last years, all this censoring and now UK's ban on porn it signals that men are once again under heavy fire.
I'd say its not men under fire. A lot of the things like collective shout are ultra-fundamentalist TERFs diguised as feminism in their belief so anti-period, anti-lgbtq+. I wouldn't put it past them to try and push for banning anything with trans representation or just lgbt representation in general.
