Abandoned game coming back to life is once in a blue moon event I witnessed only once, True Facials. There's nothing wrong hoping for this to come back but it also wouldn't hurt to be prepared for disappointment.

It's a shame too, because I can count the amount of side-scrollers that have player actions have visible lasting effect on the character's development (even just as basic as "more fucc = more horny") on my fingers. It's not like there aren't any, but there aren't nearly enough.
