Zephery Thanks for your review. You raise many good points.
The combat system:
This has been untouched since I threw it together. I've not done any work on balancing or ensuring it works well, it for now just works. But thanks for your analysis it will help when I get to it.
Scheduling:
Again all valid points, and something I need to look into, however as I'm still adding events and new interactions to the locations I'm certainly not 100% decided upon where and how often people are in certain places. I always get caught out by how much people love to grind the stats, they exist and they help but they get way more focus from folks than I design in a way. Something I certainly need to take into account.
I may look into adding options to ask the person about carrying out options whilst they are in other rooms, or perhaps allow you to say do yoga on your own, but it's less effective than when your sister is there once you've had the initial lesson. Like I said still adding things to the game all the time, I spent a while just firefighting so things fell behind in the content side.
As an example I have adjusted the sisters schedule for the conservatory to ensure there is always at least one time slot where she is there every day.
Coding:
Yup.. I mean I can code and I can do some fun stuff, but when i get an idea I focus very much on that, and sometimes (often) it can impact another area of the game I hadn't anticipated. At this early stage I am often re-writing whole sections of the tech behind the scenes so I can get to where I need to be to tell my story. It;s why I rushed to the US location as I knew I would need way more things there, and they would be the things that the rest of the game depended on so I wanted to get there to set everything up. Maybe it was a mistake opening that area up to folks, but I figured people would see a 0.2 release as very much an alpha things, perhaps that is wrong, or other people versioning systems have them believing other things. I'm very much a 'nothing will be complete until 1.0' kind of guy..
Anyways, as I said thanks for the valuable input. I do take everything on board even if it doesn't show up in the game immediately.
