After finishing the redesigns of the main characters, I’ve been working on the remake and developing the new prologue, which is now complete, with a result even better than I initially imagined. This new prologue is filled with hidden messages, symbolism, and references. It wasn’t easy to include these new elements while also creating something more poetic and mysterious compared to the original prologue.
As you may remember, the original prologue was divided between the introduction of the main girls and the sequence where our protagonist finds himself in a strange place before waking up in the infirmary. The "flashback" moments will not appear this time, as those developments will be saved for later in the story or in the characters' backgrounds.
Now that the new prologue is finished, I am currently working on Chapter 1 of the story. I’d like to progress up to the part where the protagonist regains his memories after "facing" Satanichia for the first time. After that, I might share some of the content I’ve created with Patreons so they can see the new direction the story and characters are taking.
Part of this new direction is giving the player the ability to explore environments, allowing them to observe the maps and take different paths or make choices to progress through the story. Here are some examples of how the exploration sections will look from now on.

I’ve shared the new maps in posts for Patreons, but in this post, I’m giving you all a small preview. I haven’t been focusing on creating new maps because I’ve been working on developing the beginning of Chapter 1.

By the way, one of the most requested features for the remake was voice acting for the characters. I’ve been running some tests, and it looks like it will be possible to have voiced characters this time. In the original WOTD, there were only a few scenes where we could hear the characters’ voices, but I’ll try to make it more common in the remake. Of course, I’ll include an option to mute voices if the player prefers.
I’ll continue experimenting with this while working on Chapter 1. I’m still not entirely sure if I’ll be able to give all the characters voices.
For the new music, I’d like each of the girls to have a defined musical genre or at least a distinctive sound that aligns with their personalities. For example, in individual scenes with Alune, the melodies would be led by a soft piano. For Erika, I might focus on jazz or funk. For Rachel, I could use melodies that include whistles to reflect her carefree or teasing personality. And for Satanichia, I could go for either dark and eerie music or metal.
Oh, and to wrap up everything related to the sound aspect, I’m also working on making ambient sounds more prominent to create a deeper immersion in the scenes.

I’ve also been working on promotional images for the girls, and I already have Siri, Yuri, Jill, and Rachel ready. These images focus on the new symbolism that you’ll discover in the new prologue. I’ll probably share these promotional images here for Patreons or maybe in the server’s teams on Discord.

Oh! And another important thing I need to announce is the name change.
Winds of the Destiny will now be called
Winds of Destiny. The "the" has been removed for grammatical reasons in English. The full title will actually be
Winds of Destiny: Rewind. The word/concept "Rewind" will have significant relevance in this new story.
