I see this sentence more and more in the comments to ntr games as of late.[...] I have no sympathy for him [...]
There's logic to why that is...or should be anyway. It depends on a few factors such as the player/reader's personality, how the story is written, how the MC's mind works, how his significant other's mind works, etc. In some cases I find a male MC to be ok and things are out of his control. But that's rare on this site. Most are written to be somewhat clueless or participants in the process. But a sign of good writing is how evocative the characters are written to be. In WW this guy has had a lot happen to him which naturally results in a loss of esteem. But it's his dishonesty to himself and Melissa that makes it hard to like him. He's all show and no substance. At least on the dark side. I haven't played the new light side yet (will start that now), but in the previous iterations of the game I would say he was written to soft to be alpha. We can make choices to make him take the alpha road, but the dialog really didn't match very well.I see this sentence more and more in the comments to ntr games as of late.
In the previous releases it was at the book store.Where the hell did i get the chessboard??????? Anybody know?
It was confusing as I didn't get to make cookies until Chap 1 was long over. Evelyn moved in after the MC was fired which ended chapter 1, but I was still having scenes with Mina at the office and the cafe. They have lot of continuity errors in this build that needs to be fixed.I started baking cookies, no money at first, now i think i got 100![]()
I'm surprised he maintains such this mopey persona....and this writing is hardly unique in this regard. Yah to a player like you or I who were very familiar with the mechanics of the old version, much came as a surprise now..... you stay at work much longer, the cookie shop isn't fully made (no upgrades? i need my rolling pin dammit!), different pathing on grinding pav in park for gym access, ramen-cart-girl is a random encounter when walking between house and park, etcetc. It was confusing as I didn't get to make cookies until Chap 1 was long over. Don't give them fuckin ideas, damn, the game is already a painful slog, we don't need to be constantly eating and drinking too. He needs to think of different buffs for those items, or make them gifts or something. One mechanical design critique I'd have is while I like his attempt at all these new rpg-ish elements like the garden and cooking, right now energy really isn't as limiting a factor enough to make all these mechanics impactful. In the current state, it'd make more gameplay sense if there was something like a constant energy drain over time from not eating, and you had to go grocery shopping to get more food (which would cost money), or alternative, you could grow and cook your own meals. As it is now, if you're low on energy you just sleep for 2 hours and it's all but reset.
I genuinely think the game is designed in a way where the creator wants people to pay for higher level patreon levels for convenience. E.g fast travel, money code for the laptop and I'm guessing that isn't the last of what they have planned. Imagine how much less of a slog the game would be without the shit travel system and the early 2000s HTML style cookie and ramen games lmao. Oh and the skip actually skipping without lagging or going barly that fast.Don't give them fuckin ideas, damn, the game is already a painful slog, we don't need to be constantly eating and drinking too. Definitely, which is crazy considering the game isn't even a stable state. Prioritising monetization over having an actual playable game is insanity.I genuinely think the game is designed in a way where the creator wants people to pay for higher level patreon levels for convenience. You mean library, checked there. And where is it now???In the previous releases it was at the book store.
Yes, library. When you click on the grocery cart you will see two small windows open. The one on the left is the mall and the one on the right is the library. You mean library, checked there. And where is it now???![]()
To a degree, that's my point. That type of personality generates disgust in me. Disgust generates lack of empathy and/or sympathy and I become the MC's antagonist, pulling the puppet strings in such a way to exacerbate his failures. Most creators write in such a way as to be only formulaic and tropish. This story is better written and has more depth, but the end result is similar. Failure is failure.I'm surprised he maintains such this mopey persona....and this writing is hardly unique in this regard. Do people actually enjoy this style on the dark path?
What I mean is - I'd expect him to lean into it more instead of having these narrations of "i lose again, such is life"
It's the same way I feel when incest games do nonstop narration on "she's my [rel.mother]! I couldn't possibly do that with her!"
Obviously, the player clicking those options is very much onboard with whatever the context is.
Rolling pin! All games should have a rolling pin. Well...that and a BFG.Yah to a player like you or I who were very familiar with the mechanics of the old version, much came as a surprise now..... you stay at work much longer, the cookie shop isn't fully made (no upgrades? i need my rolling pin dammit!), different pathing on grinding pav in park for gym access, ramen-cart-girl is a random encounter when walking between house and park, etcetc.
I still need to play the full light path - that's surprising to hear as I'd expect it to turn into more of a mini-harem simulator (which for better or worse it'd be well-equipped for). I.E. you chase down pavani while wooing nora, mina, etc all with Melissa's blessing.Even in the Light Side path he's a bit of a dish rag. That's ok for a while, but he's going to have to steel himself (in my opinion) to effectively handle more than one relationship AND fend off other suitors. In both sides, the foundation to the story is Melissa. It all hinges on her and she needs to be crafted in a way that has depth and nuance. This entire production is really about her, not the MC. He goes where she goes.
tangentially, no one will ever convince me the original duke 3d didn't have the best weapon selection in history- a shrink gun, a freeze ray, missile machine gun, FISTS, etcetcRolling pin! All games should have a rolling pin. Well...that and a BFG.![]()
like i wrote, checked there, nothing...Yes, library. When you click on the grocery cart you will see two small windows open. The one on the left is the mall and the one on the right is the library.
Acually inYou gotta do her sunday events a LOT, repeatedly, specifically the first.
Actually in my case, i let her train 5 or 6 times waiting for maybe NTR scene with Andy - nothing. Next 2 sundays i said NO and now im fighting Andy in TekkenI didn't even see Nora's and I ran through both light and dark play throughs haha how do you get hers?
Yeah, same here. But suddenly i found out that picking only plain cookies make moneyIt was confusing as I didn't get to make cookies until Chap 1 was long over. Hail to the King, baby!tangentially, no one will ever convince me the original duke 3d didn't have the best weapon selection in history- a shrink gun, a freeze ray, missile machine gun, FISTS, etcetc
That's where it should be, but evidently left out of this release.like i wrote, checked there, nothing...
I was confused, now I am discombobulated! I've played the DS, I've played the LS and I get squat with Nora. The only thing I was able to see was a message while playing the LS that Nora wanted to go further (or something) with me which was triggered at +8 destiny points, but now weeks later, nada. In the DS I had lots of disruptor points and low power score and never got an Andy scene. Again, I got an enigmatic message that she was depending on him or something. Otherwise, no matter how much I hang or don't hang with her that's it.Actually in my case, i let her train 5 or 6 times waiting for maybe NTR scene with Andy - nothing. Unknowable at this point. Lots of positives about this test build--lots of negatives, also. How much content is still to be added in the upcoming update whenever that is
